ServiceNews Article October 2018 A18100B Version 1 DTC B18DA or B1EDA After BSI Radar Unit Replacement AFFECTED VEHICLES Year Model Trim VIN Range 2017-18 CR-V EX, EX-L, Touring ALL 2018 Accord 2.0T Sport, EX, EX-L, Touring ALL Have you replaced the BSI radar unit and see these DTC's? • B18DA (L/S different s/w version from right) • B1EDA (R/S different s/w version from left) The reason for these DTC's is due to the replacement unit having a different software version. These radar units have specific version numbers, which are found on the radar unit label. Use the part number listed on the radar unit label to identify the correct replacement sensor needed. A replacement BSI radar unit should be replaced only with one that has the exact same part number. When replacing the unit, make sure that the last three digits of the part number, A01 or A02, are matching on both sides. Even though these units look the same, the parts can't be interchanged without causing problems in the software, which will result in the applicable DTC (B18DA or B1EDA) to set. © 2018 American Honda Motor Co., Inc. — All Rights Reserved Page 1 of 1
