Water ingress into the passenger and/or luggage compartment may be evident.
CAUSE:
This may be caused by water ingress through the high mounted stop lamp location grommets.
ACTION:
Should a customer express this concern, follow the Workshop Procedure below.

WORKSHOP PROCEDURE:
NOTE:
Before returning the vehicle to the customer, make sure any effects of the water ingress (carpets,
wiring, control modules -- especially the Telematics Control Module [TCU] -- , etc.) have been
identified and repaired. To be performed as a separate claim.

Access the high mounted stop lamp (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 417-01: Lighting Exterior Lighting - Removal and Installation - High Mounted Stoplamp [Steps 1-13]).

Complete a water test on the high mounted stop lamp.
If water ingress is through the location grommets, go to Step 3.
If water ingress is not through the location grommets, DO NOT continue with this
Technical Bulletin.

Remove the high mounted stop lamp (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 417:01: Lighting Exterior Lighting - Removal and Installation - High Mounted Stoplamp [from Step 13]).

Replace the 2 location grommets.

Install the high mounted stop lamp (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 417-01: Lighting Exterior Lighting - Removal and Installation - High Mounted Stoplamp).
