During interrogation DTC’s P054A-00, P0014-71, P000B-00 and/or P034100, P054A-00, P0303-00 and P0302-00 will be stored within the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Cause: Investigations have identified that a number of Variable Valve Timing Solenoids have not been manufactured in accordance with the required specification and will cause the failure mode reported. Action: All retailers following a customer complaint with the attached DTC’s recorded are to replace the appropriate Variable Valve Timing Solenoid (AJ813329) and check etched date on the new part. If the manufactured date is prior to 180823xxxxx (23rd August 2018), do not fit to the vehicle and order another valve. NOTE - Replace Variable Valve Timing Solenoid (follow TOPIx procedure within section 303-01: Engine) using only new parts with a manufactured dated on or after 180823xxxxx. Photo attached highlights how to breakdown the date stamped on the front of the component.
