CAUSE:
This may be caused by a difference within the structural tolerances of the body panels in the front
bulkhead.
ACTION:
Should a customer express this concern, refer to the Service Information and Workshop Procedure below.

NOTES:

Remove the front left seat (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 501-10: Seating - Removal and
Installation - Front Row Seat).

The treadplate may also be know as the scuff plate trim panel.
Remove the front left treadplate (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 501-05: Interior Tim and
Ornamentation - Removal and Installation - Front Scuff Plate Trim Panel).

Remove the accelerator pedal (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 310-02: Acceleration Control
- Accelerator Pedal).

Remove the accelerator pedal mounting bracket.
Torque: 9 Nm

1 Gently lift the left B-pillar lower trim (1).
2 Position the carpet under the left B-pillar lower trim (2).
3 Remove the front left floor carpet (3).

Remove the front left floor Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) material.
1 Gently lift the floor duct (1).
2 Remove the floor NVH material (2).

Insert a suitable tool between panels (1) and (2) as identified in Step 7 to separate the body
panels.

Locally source a suitable piece of hard foam/rubber pad with the illustrated dimensions.

Insert the foam pad as far into the gap between the body panels as possible.
(1) shows the contact area of the body panels. In this area the body panels must be
insulated from each other.
*Land Rover part number LR056022 may be used as a suitable hard foam/rubber pad.

Locate the panel.

CAUTIONS:
A locally sourced zinc-rich primer must be applied to any bare metal surfaces.
A new drill must be used for each vehicle repaired. Failure to do this may lead to
galvanic corrosion on the vehicle body.

Drill 2 (two) 7mm-diameter holes in the bulkhead panel as shown.

CAUTIONS:
A locally sourced zinc-rich primer must be applied to any bare metal surfaces.
The breakstem fasteners must be fully inserted through all the panels before installation.
Only install 2 breakstem fasteners.
