It informs the Technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or provides information that could assist in correct vehicle and diagnostic service. Cause: Investigations have identified that a number of Variable Valve Timing Solenoids have not been manufactured in accordance with the required specification and will cause the failure modes reported. Action: Interrogate the PCM to review recorded data for DTC’s P054A-00, P0014-71, P000B-00 and/or P0341-00 and P054A-00 stored within the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). All retailers following a customer complaint with the attached DTC’s recorded are to replace the appropriate Variable Valve Timing Solenoid (AJ813329) and check etched date on the new part. If the manufactured date is prior to 180823xxxxx (23rd August 2018), do not fit to the vehicle and order another valve. NOTE - Replace Variable Valve Timing Solenoid (follow TOPIx procedure within section 303-01: Engine) using only new parts with a manufactured dated on or after 180823xxxxx.
