WHEEL BEARING END-PLAY CHECKING:
This bulletin is being released as a reminder of the importance of wheel bearing preventive
maintenance. Check the wheel bearing end-play every 50,000 miles*, and when having any work
done on the brakes or any other component on the axle end. Follow the instructions mentioned in
section 12 of the maintenance manual.
*Vehicles driving less than 50,000 miles/year: at least every year. Vehcles driving more than 50,000 miles/year: at least
every 6 months.
REPLACEMENT INTERVAL FOR WHEEL BEARINGS:
To ensure maximum vehicle performance and quality it is recommended to replace the wheel
bearings of the front, drive and trailing axles every 500,000 miles or every 5 years, whatever
comes first. Instructions on how to do can be found in section 12 of the maintenance manual.
