Bentley Dynamic ride system fault (Figure 1) within the Drivers Information Panel (DIP) with DTC C129600 logged within the Front anti roll bar
control unit (Diagnostic address D4) and/or the Rear anti roll bar control unit (Diagnostic Address D5)

Technical background
Should the symptoms be evident as described, refer to the Measure section of this TPI, ensure both of the suggested earth points are checked
regardless if the DTC is logged in the front or rear anti roll bar control unit

Extra Quality checks are in place at the time of Production
Measure
This vehicle uses a 48v system, please refer to "48v system - safety precautions" before working on this system
The 48v system must only be activated and deactivated by suitably qualified personnel.
1) Ensure the 48v system is deactivated prior to starting any work on the 48v system. Refer to "48v system - to activate and deactivate".
2) Remove the right hand front wheel - Refer to Repair manual Rep.Gr 44
•
Remove the right hand front wheel arch liner - Refer to Repair manual Rep.Gr 66
•
Referring Figure 2 and Repair manual wiring diagrams locate earth point number 13

3) With care - Remove the earth point fixing - Carry out the following checks
•
Check for any paint/dirt residue on the actual earth point – Use suitable abrasive material to remove any paint or dirt
•
Check the earth cable terminal to ensure it is free from paint or dirt - Use suitable abrasive material to remove any paint or dirt
•
Refit the earth cable terminal and fixing nut
•
Torque the earth point fixing nut to 9 Nm
4) Referring to Repair manual Rep.Gr 27 - Gain access to the DcDc converter
IMPORTANT: Figure 3 shows the earth point ( 730) on 4/5 seat specification vehicles - Figure 4 shows the earth point location
( 53) for 7 seat specification vehicles

4 and 5 seat variants - Referring Figure 3 and the Repair manual wiring diagrams locate earth point number 730

5) With care - Remove the earth point fixing - Carry out the following checks
•
Check for any paint/dirt residue on the actual earth point - Use suitable abrasive material to remove any paint or dirt
•
Check all earth cable terminals to ensure they are free from paint or dirt - Use suitable abrasive material to remove any paint or dirt
•
Refit the earth cable terminals and fixing nut
•
Torque the earth point fixing nut to 3Nm + 45º
•
Erase DTC C129600 using a suitable diagnostic tool
•
Carry out a short road test
6) Confirm the DTC is no longer evident NOTE: Raise a DISS query if DTC C129600 is still evident
