same importance of a Technical Service Bulletin. An SSM is a quick method of communicating
"Need To Know" information to the technical service community. SSM's may be issued in
advance of a technical bulletin or may be the only communication on a given topic. All
information contained in Jaguar technical communications are intended for use by trained,
professional technicians with the knowledge, tools, and equipment required to complete the
procedure correctly and safely. It informs the Technicians of conditions that may occur on
some vehicles, or provides information that could assist in correct vehicle and diagnostic
service.

JLR is investigating Washer Fluid Low Message
displayed in the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) when
the Washer Bottle is full
Cause:
Under investigation
Action:
If this symptom is reported please raise an ePQR with
the following information;
Confirm low level warning light illumination
–Attach photo
Check for any odour from reservoir
Inspect washer bottle fluid level, Ensure bottle is
full
Inspect level sensor electrical connection for signs
of corrosion
check resistance value of washer level sensor and
record values
Nominal Bottle (full) =Open circui
Empty = 39 ±2 (AB level) / 0.3 (AA level)
Remove sensor and confirm condition (is there
any excessive residue on sensor or in the bottle)
Check resistance of switch in both open and
closed position (have values changed)
Replace Washer Level Sensor
