Cause Insufficient grease lubrication in the clamping area of the mechanical steering column. Remedy Grease the clamping area. 1 Create access to the steering column (see picture 1). 2. Open the steering column clamps (picture 1 / illustration A). 3. Re-grease the area/gap marked in red (picture 2/3). 4. Distribute the grease by operating the height adjustment. 5.
