Technical Background
Component analyses show that the components are in working order. You should look for the cause of the
complaint in the vehicle system before replacing the crash sensor.
Production Solution
Not applicable.
Service
1. Thoroughly check the door wiring harness, the door coupling point and the electrical connectors of the
individual components relevant to the respective DTC or DTCs that are stored in the airbag control module, J234-, (address word 0015).
2. Pay particular attention to any kinks and the connectors in the wiring harness. Thoroughly check that the pins
are in the correct position and that they are properly engaged in the area of the door coupling point and the
connector for the crash sensor.
3. Try to reproduce the complaint by moving the door, the wiring harness, the connectors and the pins.
If the complaint can then be traced to the crash sensor, we recommend replacing the crash sensor.
