2016 FORD F-250 with 45240.0 miles

09/05/2016 purchased 2016 Ford. 11/24/16 fuel filter pluged, replaced at landers Ford benton ar.12/23,2016 check engine light (codes P008A, low fuel pressure/ and P0170 , something to do wioth the fuel) took to donley forsd galion ohio. They were not sure what to do but sugested changing the fuel filters. Truck was under waranty but charged me to do so mileage was 27,486. 1/12/16 check engine light again took to hacienda Ford edinburg, tx found codes P0170 (second time) and P229F some kind of sensor. They checked the fuel and found metal in the fule filter, lines and tank. I was told that the high pressure pump had failed and that is where the metal was comming from. They replaced fuel system kit, 8 injectors, high pressure pump, steel lines, return line, fuel filtersand flushed fule lines and fuel tank. Mileage was 29446. I lost a half tank of fuel appx 15 gals. And had to pay $19.74 for fuel to restart the truck. I believe my lost fuel and the other should have been covewred under waranty. I forgot to mention the parts were under back order and i had to wait several days for them to get the parts. Repairs completed 1/21/16 mioleage 29,362. 04/12/16 check engine light again P0170 again mileage 45240 was told by donley Ford that they will moniter something called oasis for repair per ssm#45737. So Ford does not know what is causing this or how to fix the problem.I use my truck for work, transporting rv trailers so i need to rely on it. Needless to say i do not have much confidence in this vehicle.
ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

2006 MERCEDES BENZ C230 with 64884.0 miles

After having the check engine light come on, we took the car to the dealership we purchased it from to perform a diagnostic after receiving codes P0170 and P0173 (mb codes 2092/2096) which mb classifies as "mixture in right / left cylinder bank is too rich when idling" and were told we would need to replace the intake manifold for $2110. The explanation we received (verbal only as they refused to describe the problem in writing after asking multiple times) was that a bushing that controls the air flow valves was worn. They could not provide a reason as to what would cause this wear considering the bushing is internal to the control valves. They also could not tell me which specific side this leak was coming from. Since the intake manifold is one large component we would need to replace the entire thing. The car is five years old so roughly just over 12k miles per year and already major components are failing. This is from the same dealer (mb georgetown, texas) who once told us our brakes (rotors and pads) were all bad and needed to be replaced. We took it to a trusted mechanic and only needed to replace the front pads as they were getting close to being worn out. We now need a second opinion since i simply do not trust them. The information they provided was "provide estimate to replace intake manifold for vacuum leak at $2110. Air leak coming from intake tumble flap assembly."
ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING,

2005 KIA SPORTAGE with 41000.0 miles

During all of the 5 incidents in 2009 the engine misfired violently. At times 35mph was max speed. Cronin Kia had my vehicle over 30 days in 5 visits in 2009. They have replaced; two cat. Converters, the ignition coil pack and spark plugs, a leaking fuel injector and associated wiring. Please note the error codes for visits 1 and 5 (3/17/09 and 7/14/09); P0300-P0303-P0305-P0273. Visit number1 also had codes; P0420-P0430 and P0170. The duplicate codes indicate the problem affects "bank 1 only. Code P0170 spells out the problem; "fuel trim malfunction-bank 1".The destroyed catalytic converters were the result of the fuel trim problem. The same for the leaking fuel injector. I believe it is only a matter of time before the other bank 1 injectors fail. The fuel trim must be a function of the vehicle's computer. I believe the "bank 1 fuel trim malfunction" and/or the electronic stabilization program (esp) and/or the vehicle's computer are the source of this dangerous problem. There is a recall on the esp; sc-044 - march, 2005. "the esp system may cause the engine to reduce power and may cause a braking action at one of the wheels". "brake application caused by inadvertent esp activation may result in loss of control and a crash".The front brake pads on my vehicle were worn out at 41,000 miles. I asked Kia customer service in an initial letter if this was premature. Of course, i received no answer. After the number 5 incident(july, 2009) the engine would stall even after a leaking fuel injector and associated wiring were replaced. It stalled less than a mile from cronin and three times the next day. During the number 5 incident the esp shut itself off; "esp off" appeared in the instrument panel. I passed this information to jeff wyler Kia service department. This was ignored. The final (number 6) attempt to repair the problem consisted of a joy ride after which they declared; "all operations are normal" they consider this problem amusing. They refused to contact Kia!
