P0313
Misfire Detected with Low Fuel
DTC P0313, sometimes indicated as P031300 is an OBD diagnostic trouble code indicating a generic fault with the vehicle powertrain (i.e. engine and gearbox). This code identifies an error with the ignition system causing misfire detected with low fuel.
The causes and solutions for this DTC depend on the vehicle. Some possible causes and solutions include:
-The fuel level is too low, so the engine cannot generate enough power to fire all of the cylinders.
-The fuel injectors are not working properly, so not enough fuel is being delivered to the cylinders.
-There is a problem with the spark plugs or the spark plug wires, so the plugs are not firing properly.
-There is a problem with the engine's ignition system, so the spark is not happening at the right time.

Had to buy a new engine! The truck started running rough on the drive home from work on friday, april 6. On saturday morning, april 7, i took it to get gas. After filling my tank, the truck would not start back up. I had to have it towed from the gas station. Towed it to keller Ford, grand rapids, mi. Codes P0011, P0016, P0017, P0019, P0021, P0172, P0175, P0299, P0313, P0365, P0369, P0390, P0394, P0430 and P052C. The technician also performed a power balance test and a compression test, it was determined half the engine had zero compression and the other half had lowered compression. All of these results indicated the truck needed a full engine replacement. $7,650 for the new engine. A vehicle with 80,000 miles and only 5 years old should not need a new engine.
