P0419

Secondary Air Injection System Relay "B" Circuit Malfunction

DTC P0419, sometimes indicated as P041900 is an OBD diagnostic trouble code indicating a generic fault with the vehicle powertrain (i.e. engine and gearbox). This code identifies an error with the auxiliary emissions system causing secondary air injection system relay "b" circuit malfunction.

The Secondary Air Injection System Relay "B" Circuit Malfunction is a code that is set when the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) detects a problem with the secondary air injection system relay. This relay is responsible for sending power to the air injection pump, which helps to reduce emissions.
There are a few things that can cause this code to set, including a faulty relay, a bad air injection pump, or a leak in the air injection system.
The best way to diagnose this code is to check the wiring and connectors for damage, and then test the relay and air injection pump. If either of these components are found to be bad, then they will need to be replaced.

2007 TOYOTA TUNDRA with 88000.0 miles

I have a 5.7l 2007 Toyota Tundra. It has been raining real bad in texas and the other day the check engine light came on when i was going down the highway and it lost power. I took it and had it checked. I have an error code P0419. I have read multiple instances online and an extended warranty was issues for 10 years 150k miles, but i am out by time, and i only have 88k miles. This is a safety issues as if i was passing someone and lost power, i could have been in a wreck. This has been a known issue by Toyota and needs to be addressed by a general recall.
