DTC U0001, sometimes indicated as U000100 is an OBD diagnostic trouble code indicating a generic fault with the vehicle user network.

2017 JEEP CHEROKEE with 108000 miles

After starting car in morning, the shifter was put into drive. While shifter was in drive the light beside shifter was blinking. Then a message popped up on the dash saying to put the vehicle in neutral or park. Vehicle was put in park, then back in drive and a check engine light came on, the check engine light code was U0001 for a can c bus. When pushing on the accelerator pedal the car was lagging and did not seem to respond the same as it usually would. Took vehicle to dealer and explained what had happened. The dealership said they could not find the root cause. They cleared the code and let me leave.

2017 JEEP RENEGADE with 18055.0 miles

Was driving this evening, and got about 2 blocks from my house. After stopping at a stop sign, and then continuing through, halfway through the intersection, all service lights came on (service electronic parking brake, service esc, service engine, service transmission), and then it said to shift into park while i lost power and had to coast to the curb. When i got to the curb, the lights next to the shifter (prnd) were flashing until i put it in park. I shut the car off, and when it came back on, only the service engine light remained. I phoned Jeep, and they were going to have it towed to a dealership, but none were open, so i have to wait until the morning, and had to leave my car on the street, because if i went more than 10 feet, the power would go out again and would lose acceleration. There have been issues with transmission jamming into gear when slowing to a stop at a red light, and then accelerating when it turns green, and randomly idling rough. The engine code is U0001. If i had been on the freeway when it lost power, i would not have had time to get over to the shoulder and could have been badly hurt or killed if i got hit by another car.

2015 JEEP CHEROKEE with 148000. miles

Check engine light comes on, codes are U1504, U1412, U0001, U1110, U1120, will not shift, 4wd temporary unavailable message comes on , stability traction light comes on, all shifter gear lights are on, this had happened 7 times since i purchased this Jeep, engine has cut a couple of times during all of these issues!

2015 CHRYSLER 200 with 30000.0 miles

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. When the vehicle was stopped at a stop light, the vehicle stalled and lost power. The contact would have to depress the brake pedal for the vehicle to power back on and accelerate forward. The contact took the vehicle to don franklin campbellsville (located at 200 n bypass rd, campbellsville, ky, 42718, 877-702-2230) where it was diagnosed that the battery voltage circuit, control module, and front driver's side speed sensor failed. The vehicle was repaired, but the vehicle began to exhibit the same failure. The contact had to jumpstart the vehicle in order to drive. The contact took the vehicle to a certified mechanic who stated that diagnostic code: (tipm module U0001) appeared. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.

2015 DODGE CHALLENGER with 37488.0 miles

The steering column starting making a low pitched whining sound for the past 4 months. The car was stopped and parked and the warning came on about the servicing the power steering and now the car has no power steering. Codes: U11E8-00- & U0001-00- and the car is now 1500 miles beyond the warranty. We are going to push to the get this fixed under warranty but at 37k miles this shouldn't happen, and after researching online this apparently is a common problem with the power steering module located on the the rack and pinon and the whole thing will have to be replaced. This should definitely be a recall as this is a major safety hazard.

2013 FIAT 500 with 66000.0 miles

So - i've got a 2013 500e and it started doing this last week or so. The rbc, the esc, the abs, and even the hill assist transiently, and once or twice even went into 'propulsion system service' error mode and wouldn't run. After a re-start it would then run. Even did the battery trick. Not sure if it helped or not. So, i decided to do the obd2 - with the konnwei and the alfobd - full program - and it was able to clear the codes and pull up the errors : U0001, U1201, U1487 - and even though it recurs and i feel a click and change in braking when the rbc light goes off, and the esc light, and eventually the abs light too, and it starts making funny noises from the brakes when stopped and pressed deeply, but i'm able to clear it and goes back to normal. But it always recurs. Once it went away for 2 days. Anyway - found a tsb on this : number 08-045-16 - from april 22, 2016. And describes pretty much all this and the codes. Apparently the rbc, and abs modules need reflash by the dealer - or someone with the witech software and interface. I'd have to drive 100 miles or so up to phoenix to get it done. So i would need to haul it up there. This sucks. Called the fca support line, they say there's nothing they can do, i have to get it there.

2009 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER with 90000.0 miles

3 times over the last month, while i was driving my vehicle, the car suddenly lost power while i was driving on the highway. All the dashboard lights flashed on, check engine light and warning lights illuminated. The vehicle lost power, the accelerator was not working, and i was just barely able to pull the car over to the side of the road. Car turned off and was able to turn back on, now with illuminated check engine light and check hybrid system warning light illuminated. This is a big safety issue as the car is losing power in the middle of the road while my foot is on the accelerator. The first time this happened i was able to pull a couple codes from the code reader. Codes were: U0001 & U0100 the second and 3rd time this happened there were no codes coming up on the code reader.
