2017 FORD TRANSIT with 13744.0 miles
There were 9 of us in our 2017 Ford Transit, driving on route 15 81 miles south of las vegas, nv, with the cruise control on at 75 mph when the van shut off while in motion. Pulled to the side of the road. Waited 2.5 to 3 hours for a flatbed tow truck while temperature was 108 to 109 degrees f. Vehicle towed to friendly Ford, las vegas, nv. Mileage on vehicle was 13,744 miles. Dealer found fuse f16 burned open and codes P025A and U0109. They replaced the fuse f16 and road tested for 15 miles and returned the van to us. They contacted Ford technical help. That fuse powers the fuel pump relay and fuel pump control module and pcm. Seems like this same scenario can and will happen again under the same conditions. Failure mode was when we were driving uphill slightly at 1 or 2 percent uphill grade with 3/8 of fuel in the tank. Since then we drove 400 miles without a problem. Afraid to drive in the left carpool lane because it is dangerous to stall out (could get killed by a truck or bus)

2015 FORD FOCUS
I have this error code from a obd-2 code reader from autozone. Dealership didn't give me any feesback on the check engine issue when i had it in for a fuel tank issue. Error code is 'U0109 lost communication with fuel pump control module (fpcm)' the car sat in the driveway all summer long with a full fuel tank of gasoline. Code cleared, vehicle returned to service. Stalled followed by crank no start conditions with check engine light, codes P025A, U0109 and P0627 while vehicle stationary. 4m auto service center abilene tx replaced fuel pump control module. Vehicle returned to service. Several stalls followed by crank no start conditions over several months with no associated check engine light no codes. Vehicle owner replaced fuel pump due to burnt wire (see attached photo). Vehicle returned to service. Contacted 4m auto service center, arrow Ford abilenetx aand Ford motor company customer service.

2012 CHEVROLET CRUZE with 44524.0 miles
Stopped at a stop sign and car started missing when attempting to go thru intersection. Car stopped and would not start. Car was towed to serpentini Chevrolet in strongsville. They indicated the car started at their facility but was giving the same code (heck z - U0109) that progressive Chevrolet in canton had gotten and progressive replaced the fuel pump control module 3 days prior. Serpentini indicated the car was fine. I complained to progressive and they had the car towed from serpentini back to their facility.

2008 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 with 137000. miles
Engine stalled multiple times while driving. Pulled codes and found U0109 fuel pump module communication. There is already a recall but my vehicle vin does not apply. Environmental issues with the placement of this module causing corrosion internally shorting printed circuit board.

2008 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 with 165000. miles
Additionally, a small number of 2007-2012 model year vehicles that include; 2008-2013 Chevrolet avalanche, 2008-2009 Chevrolet colorado vehicles; 2007-2013 Chevrolet silverado, 2008-2014 suburban, and tahoe vehicles; 2008-2013 gmc sierra and 2009-2012 yukon vehicles; 2008-2009 gmc canyon vehicles; 2009-2010 hummer h2, h3 and h3t vehicles; and 2008-2009 saturn vue and 2009 outlook vehicles may have been serviced with a chassis electronic module that could have internal contamination, causing an electrical short in the module. If the module experiences an electrical short, the vehicle could display a check engine light, stall, or fail to start. If the vehicle experiences this condition and stalls while in motion, there could be an increased risk of a vehicle crash. My vehicle has stalled multiple times while driving as well as failed to start. When these symptoms occurred they are accompanied by a check engine light for a U0109 code (loss of communication with fuel pump control module). I believe that my vehicle, although the vin is not listed, is affected by nhtsa recall bulletin number 14515 as quoted above.
