2012-2016 F-Super Duty
ISSUE
Some 2012-2016 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.2L or 6.8L engine built on or before 4/6/2016 may exhibit an
illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with DTCs P0627, P025A, P025B and/or U0109 stored in powertrain control
module (PCM) memory.
ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Using the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) service tool or equivalent scan tool check for DTCs. Are one or any
combination of DTCs P0627, P025A, P025B and/or U0109 stored in the PCM memory?
a. No - this article does not apply. Refer to the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual for normal
diagnosis.
b. Yes - proceed to Step 2.
2. Replace the fuel pump control module (FPCM). Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-04.
