• Recall 211022 [USA]: A disconnected driver's air bag can result in it not deploying, as intended, during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
  Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain 2016 super duty f-250, f-350, f-450, and f-550 vehicles. Dust may accumulate in the steering wheel clock spring, causing a disconnection in the electrical connection resulting in the driver's air bag not deploying as intended.
  dealers will replace the steering wheel clock spring, free of charge. Remedy parts are expected to become available in the 3rd quarter of 2023. An interim notification letter informing owners of the safety risk was mailed on july 6, 2022. Owner notification letters were mailed july 10, 2023. • Recall 113547 [USA]: A rapid loss of air or a tire rupture while the vehicle is being driven may cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain model year 2016 ford f-250, f-350, f-450, and f-550 trucks manufactured april 5, 2016, to april 11, 2016. The tires installed during assembly of the affected vehicles may have sustained damage to the inner sidewall, possibly resulting in a loss of air or a tire rupture.

  Issue: this recall is for aftermarket replacement rear window glass produced by vitro automotriz. Certain rear window glass may not have been properly tempered. If the window breaks, the glass may separate into large pieces instead of very small ones. Note: this is a voluntary recall that is not being conducted under the requirements of the motor vehicle safety act. Safety risk: glass that breaks in to large pieces could create a risk of injury. Corrective actions: the company will notify consumers by mail and instruct them to inspect the designation code marked on the rear window glass. Products affected by this recall have the designation “dot 287” along with the lettering “vmr” (replacement market) and a date code that is before july 2019. This information is printed on the bottom corner of the glass. Consumers should contact vitro's customer service at 1-412-995-6457 or [email protected] to arrange for replacement of the glass.

  On certain vehicles, the inner sidewall of the affected tires may have been damaged during vehicle assembly. This could result in a loss of air or, in some cases, a rupture during use. If this were to occur, a damaged tire that ruptures or rapidly loses air may result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. • Sogefi secondary diesel fuel filter leak investigation # PE24014

  The office of defect investigations (odi) has received 27 complaints alleging diesel fuel leaks due to a fracture in the secondary fuel filter housing in model year (my) 2015-2021 ford motor company (ford) f-250, 350, 450, and 550 super duty vehicles equipped with 6.7l diesel engines. Of these complaints, 12 describe an engine compartment fire. The proximity of the secondary fuel filter to high heat sources creates a potential for autoignition thermal events and fires. Odi has contacted the vehicle manufacturer, ford, and the filter manufacturer, allevard sogefi usa (sogefi), and learned that the low-pressure fuel system is capable of a maximum operating pressure of 8.5 bar, while the secondary fuel filter is only tested to seven (7) bar during the manufacturing process. Additionally, changes starting in 2022 by both ford and sogefi align with a lack of similar complaints on my 2022 and newer vehicles. Odi is opening this preliminary evaluation (pe) to evaluate the severity of the potential problem and to fully assess the potential safety-related problems. The air spring blowed

While driving at highway speeds with a trailer and a load connected to the truck the check brake system message suddenly appeared within the message display, as well as the abs light, traction control light, and the parking brake light. Immediately we attempted to slow down and pull off to the side of the road. Fortunately traffic was not too congested around us and we were driving on a relatively flat road at the time. The vehicle had lost virtually all braking power and the we basically had to coast to a complete stop. The vehicle is a 2016 ford f-450 super duty crew cab towing a 25' gooseneck trailer with only 71,000 miles on the truck. This could have been an absolute catastrophe had we been hauling a heavier load and driving down a downhill grade! This should not happen without any kind of warning whatsoever! Ford needs to fix this issue before it results in death or serious injury! *dt*jb

While driving on 3 occasions at various speeds the transmission shifted on its own unexpectedly to first gear causing loss of control due to the rear wheels locking up. On two of the occasions it disabled the vehicle and required repairs. The vehicle is in the shop now going on 3 months. *dt when we heard about him the recall of 1.5 million trucks we felt like we had a solution but ford states that my truck is not affected. My complaint in 06/2017 is an exact description of the recall. I believe my truck is affected. I have nearly been in three accidents starting while the vehicle was in warranty. I feel the recall will ultimately affect more vehicles....*bf.. *tr *dt*jb
