This article supersedes TSB 16-0034 to direct all repairs to the updated service procedures located in the online
Workshop Manual (WSM) and Powertrain Control/Emission Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual.
ISSUE
Some 2011-2016 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine, may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTCs
P208E and/or P218F stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) memory due to urea crystals forming on the
reductant injector nozzle.
ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
Follow the improved diagnostic and repair information contained in the updated online WSM and PC/ED for the customer
symptom. The revised service and diagnostic procedures provide more accurate diagnosis and repair direction. The new
procedure improves the cleaning process for the reductant injector and reduces part replacement.
