The driver's side air bag inflator may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures, and high temperature cycling.
  ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver-side airbag inflator or module with an alternate one, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on april 9, 2021 for the passenger side, and november 14, 2022 for the driver side. Owners may contact ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. • Recall 129501 [USA]: If the wheel is installed incorrectly, the wheel may vibrate or wobble, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Bearing technologies ltd (bearing) is recalling certain duralast wheel spindles, part number dl930676k, sold as a service part for the front wheel hub spindle of 2007-2010 ford edge vehicles. The affected wheel spindles have wheel mounting studs with an oversized shoulder that can prevent the wheel from being installed correctly.
  bearing will notify the distributors of the spindles. If the studs on a defective spindle are not loose, bearing will replace the studs at no charge. If the studs on a defective spindle are loose, bearing will replace the spindle assembly at no charge. Bearing will also pay shop labor for the remedy. The recall began on october 16, 2017. • Recall 117750 [USA]: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
  Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain model year 2009-2010 ford edge vehicles manufactured september 11, 2008, to july 1, 2010, and lincoln mkx vehicles manufactured september 23, 2008, to july 1, 2010, originally sold in, or currently registered in, connecticut, delaware, illinois, indiana, iowa, kentucky, maine, maryland, massachusetts, michigan, minnesota, missouri, new hampshire, new jersey, new york, ohio, pennsylvania, rhode island, vermont, west virginia, wisconsin and the district of columbia. Due to corrosion from salt water exposure such as from road salt use, the affected vehicles may leak fuel from the fuel tank seam weld under the tank mounting reinforcement brackets.

The corrective actions for this recall are under development. Note: the canadian climate results in the propellant degrading slowly.   Certain acdelco advantage wheel hub spindles, manufactured by bearing technologies ltd., contain a defect which may affect vehicle safety. The spindles have studs with oversized protruding shoulders that may make assembling the part difficult with certain aftermarket brake rotors (original equipment rotors are not affected). If this difficulty in assembly is not heeded, the defect may cause a vibration of the vehicle or wobbling of the wheel on which the hub is installed. If a driver does not stop the vehicle, this may lead to a loss of vehicle control. Affected parts are acdelco advantage wheel hub spindles, part no. 19360602 (br930676k), sold between november 21, 2016 and october 2, 2017. Parts manufactured with these studs have any of the following lot codes etched on the face of the spindle: fh38, fj38, fn38, fp38, fs38, fv38, fy38, fz38, and hc38. These parts fit exclusively on the models listed in this notice. Correction: bearing tech will provide customers with a replacement acdelco advantage wheel spindle, part no. 19385577 (518517). • Recall 2015509 [Canada]: Fuel supply
  On certain vehicles registered and operated in areas where road salt is used on the roadways during winter months for extended time periods (ontario, quebec, new brunswick, nova scotia, prince edward island and newfoundland-labrador), corrosion may occur underneath the fuel tank mounting reinforcement brackets at the weld seam. This could result in a small hole to form in the fuel tank resulting in a fuel vapour leak or fuel leak. A malfunction indicator lamp (mil) may illuminate, and/or fuel odour or liquid fuel may be observed. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: dealers will inspect, and if necessary, repair or replace the fuel tank. I needed increased effort to engage the brakes, totally lost all brake power when driving on a highway. Started out spongy and then it was like engaging a brick. Had to veer off the highway and almost caused a major accident. Brake pedal is hissing and spongy.

Replaced brakes and pads and bled the brakes twice. When i push brake pedal it feels mushy and resistant and the vehicle won’t stop. A hissing noise is made also.

Interior driver's side door latch is covered with a metal-like substance which appears to be chrome. The metal has cracked/split along the top of the latch, where the driver places fingers to open the door. The owner/driver of this vehicle was injured by this latch on 6/6/2021, and suffered a finger laceration which required bandaging but not stitches.

The contact owns a 2010 ford edge. The contact stated that the brake assist was failing due to the vehicle not braking properly. The contact stated that excessive brake pedal pressure was needed to stop the vehicle. The vehicle made an abnormal hissing sound when the brake was applied. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact referenced an unknown recall regarding the brake booster and stated that it was confirmed by the dealer that the vin was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 104,000.

Transmission shifts violently. Lose speed at highway speed. Odometer and speedometer go blank, no display. Loss of power and speed. Huge safety hazard. So many complaints online found within 10 minutes of search.

When these lights come on i pretty much lose the ability to break on my own, it resists and grinds when breaking with the lights on. The lights can come and go for days at a time or for only a few miles. Also, the vehicle hesitates on take off when these lights are on. Code reader doesn't really tell us anything useful. If codes are cleared it eventually will come back on and continue having the same issues. This seems to be a common problem by what i'm finding, ford should be responsible to fix this wiring/electrical issue. Another thing, the seatbelt light and alarm will not stop going off, even if you are in park for a while. I just bought this vehicle and i am far from impressed.

Brake booster failure. Ford customer satisfaction program 13n02. Ford state's that my vin is not part of this problem, but this is exactly what is wrong. I should have been covered, and this vehicle is not safe to drive.
