• Recall 155164 [USA]: A fractured rear toe link will cause a sudden change in vehicle handling and increase the risk of a crash.
  Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain 2013-2018 lincoln mkt and ford flex and taurus vehicles with the police interceptor or sho performance pack. The rear suspension toe links may fracture due to stress on the rear suspension.
  ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rear suspension toe links, free of charge. Remedy parts are not currently available. Owners were notified about the recall on march 3, 2020. A second notice will be mailed when remedy parts become available, which is currently expected to be the end of september 2020. The recall began october 28, 2020. Owners may contact ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 or lincoln customer service at 1-800-521-4140. Ford's number for this recall is 20s04.

• Recall 123840 [USA]: A loss of power to the fuel pump will cause the engine to stall or prevent the vehicle from starting, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 ford taurus, ford flex, lincoln mks and lincoln mkt vehicles equipped with 3.5l gtdi ecoboost engines and 2013-2015 ford taurus police interceptor vehicles. A component within the fuel pump electric module (pem) may overheat causing a loss of electrical power to the fuel pump.
  ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the fuel pem part number and replace the fuel pem, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on december 1, 2016. Owners may contact ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 16s31.

• Recall 119750 [USA]: If the parking brake does not fully engage and the transmission is left in a gear other than 'park' while on a slope, the vehicle may roll away, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain model year 2015 ford taurus, ford flex, and lincoln mks vehicles manufactured may 4, 2015, to may 23, 2015, lincoln mkt vehicles manufactured may 4, 2015, to may 21, 2015, and 2015-2016 ford explorer vehicles manufactured may 4, 2015, to may 23, 2015. The affected vehicles have a parking brake that may not fully engage when applied. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 135, "light vehicle brake systems."

  On certain vehicles, the fuel pump electric module may be damaged due to high electrical current loads. This could cause the fuel pump to stop operating, which would result in the engine stalling or failing to start. A loss of motive power could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the fuel pump electric module. Note: failure of the fuel pump electric module would cause the malfunction indicator light to illuminate.

• Recall 2015321 [Canada]: Brakes
  Certain vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of canada motor vehicle safety standard 135 - brake systems. During the manufacturing process, the parking brake controller assembly bracket may have been improperly formed. This could result in the pawl to not engage the sector gear during actuation and the parking brake not fully engaging. If the transmission is in park, there will be no unintended vehicle movement. If the transmission is left in a gear other than park, and the vehicle is parked on a sufficient slope, a non-functioning parking brake could result in unintended vehicle movement, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: dealers will inspect, and if necessary, replace the parking brake control assembly.

The contact owns a 2015 ford flex. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 20v072000 (suspension) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The local dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact owns a 2015 ford flex. The contact stated while driving 25 mph, the power steering failed not allowing the contact to steer the vehicle. The contact stated that the power steering assist warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed with the power steering assist needing to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was relating the failure to an unknown recall. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and referred the contact to the nhtsa for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 96,000.

The power steering system reverts to manual steering mode due to the power steering control module (pscm) detecting a motor position sensor fault. In manual steering mode there is still a mechanical linkage between the steering wheel and the road wheels, allowing steering control to be maintained. When this condition occurs, a message displays in the instrument cluster message center and a chime sounds to inform the driver. Loss of power steering assist requires greater steering effort, especially at lower speeds, which may increase the risk of accident. This has occurred on three occasions. Also see ford recall 15s18.

Vehicle was in motion on a highway, several warnings quickly appeared on the dash then simultaneously all power steering functions stopped working and vehicle was extremely difficult to steer. When trying to guide the vehicle to a stop, the steering wheel was trying to correct itself resulting in the vehicle being completely inoperable. The dealership found that the (pscm) power steering control module failed and needed to be replaced resulting in a $2,200 charge on a vehicle with 52,000 miles.

There is zero time to pull off the road which put us at high risk of being rear ended. This is a life/road safety hazard

Vehicle suddenly shut down causing the vehicle to stall and now won't start. Seems like our vehicle has no power going to the fuel pump. This happened while driving down the road. Vehicle now will not start but does still have lights come on. Acts like its not getting fuel.
