  • Recall 2021534 [Canada]: Powertrain
Issue: certain vehicles were built with the wrong center console cover. As a result, there is a button for the shift lock release instead of a cover over it. If the button is pushed, the transmission can be shifted out of park without a key in the ignition and without pressing the brake pedal. If this happens, and the parking brake is not applied, the vehicle could roll away. Canadian regulations require the shift lock release to be covered. Safety risk: a parked vehicle that moves unexpectedly could increase the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective actions: hyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the shift lock release button with a cover.

To ensure accuracy and for your safety, it is recommended to do a free VIN recall check here or here [USA] - UK - Canada.
