When shifting from "park" to "drive" vehicle bolted ahead at full acceleration without my touching accelerator pedal. Applied full brake pedal with no effect and could only stop vehicle by turning off ignition with key. Jaguar dealer advised me that "build up of carbon around throttle linkage" caused the problem. Extremely lucky to have suffered no injuries to anyone or collision damage. Vehicle traveled 75 feet across busy intersection at very high speed before i could stop it. *ak
