  • Recall 59712 [USA]: This condition may cause an inadequate seal at the connection, potentially leading to a fuel leak. in the presence of an ignition source, a fire could occur.
    Certain replacement fuel filters, fram brand name p/n g3727, with date codes x52911 through x60801 sequentially or x600141 and a mexico country or origin marking on the fuel filter housing manufactured from october 18, 2005, through march 21, 2006, sold for use on the vehicles listed above and on certain school buses. (to see the school bus engine sizes, click on "document search" and then "bus applications"). The connector on the fuel filter was not manufactured to honeywell's specification. As a result, the o-ring may not seat correctly on the fuel line.
    honeywell will notify owners and replace the fuel filters free of charge. The recall began on october 18, 2006. Owners may contact fram customer service at 1-800-890-2075 (option 1).
    this recall only pertains to aftermarket fram fuel filters and has no relation to any original equipment installed on the vehicles listed.Customers may contact the national highway traffic safety administration's vehicle safety hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (tty: 1-800-424-9153); or go to http://www.Safercar.Gov.

  • Recall 19171 [USA]: If this occurs the occupants of the vehicle cannot usethe safety belts, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a sudden stopor accident.
    The normal lockup function of the automatic (passive) belt reel can cause the belt motor winch assembly to lockup such that the passive belt system will not deploy/function or gets stuck at various points along the track causing the kinking or breaking of its cable or detachment of the tongue.
    jaguar will repair the passive belt system if this problem occurs or has occurred. Jaguar will notify owners of the existence of a lifetime warranty on components of the automatic (passive) belt system.

Dot reports there is a recall on the seat belt system in the jag and recommends taking to dealer for repairs (free). According to the official jaguar web site this only applies to 1995 vehicles and newer. The motor winch gets stuck and now a component of the assembly has broken off. Please help. Thank you. *tr

The dealer stated that they don't have the part to repair the seat belt. The contact was waiting on the part for two years. The failure mileage was 184000 and the current mileage was 191000. Tl*the contact owns a 1991 jaguar xj6. The contact stated that the cables for the seat belt module were replaced according to a recall. Currently, the restraint module is faulty and causing the seat belt to extend across the steering wheel while the contact is driving. He feels this is very dangerous and a safety issue because the seat belt can become tangled up with the steering wheel and cause a crash. The manufacturer will not repair the seat belt module under warranty. The current mileage was 140,000 and failure mileage was 97,000.
