Tl* the contact owns a 2005 jaguar xj8. Upon shifting the vehicle from park into reverse, the gear failed to change over. The contact stated that the pin function was unable to release the gear due to the transmission not changing. As a result, the brakes seized. The vehicle was unable to be driven and was towed to the contact's residence. Autos of dallas (4472 w plano pkwy, plano, tx 75093, (972) 484-9200) was notified of the failure and indicated that the vehicle was excluded from nhtsa campaign number: 04v024000 (power train); although, the vehicle exhibited the same failure as the recall campaign. The vehicle was not scheduled for a diagnostic appointment. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 201,858. *bf *tr

While driving approximately 70 mph, the suspension lowered without warning, which was a safety concern while the vehicle was in motion. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for inspection and diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available. The consumer stated the air suspension suddenly deflated while driving. The consumer stated when the incident happened, it made the vehicle difficult to steer and brake. The vehicle was towed to the dealer but the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and the current mileages were 37,000.

The vehicle was towed to the dealer for a diagnostic test. The technician stated that the throttle gasket would have to be replaced. Approximately two years after the repair, the contact was driving approximately 60 mph when the vehicle suddenly stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to the dealer for a diagnostic test. The technician stated that the fuel pump would have to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 53,000. ..Updated 09/04/12 *bf the consumer stated in 2009 the throttle body was replaced; however, the dealer invoice lists park brake fault. The park brake was not repaired. In july 2012, the vehicle was towed to the nearest mechanic who found the inertia switch had engaged without the vehicle having been in an accident. Consumer writes in regards to intermittent engine light malfunctions *tgw the consumer stated at approximately 38,000 miles, he began to experience warning light messages such as engine fault, brake fault and dsc fault. Immediately following the display of the engine light, the engine lost power and the vehicle immediately coasted to a complete stop. The consumer stated the engine loosing power happened several times. Several components were replaced. However, the problem would always return. *jb
