SB-10058901-6632 Date Group No. Release Page 8.2015 284 061 02 1(1) Regeneration Temperatures MP7, MP8, MP10, OBD2013, US2014, OBD2015 CHU, CXU, GU, LEU, MRU, TD FSB 284-061, Regeneration Temperatures (August 2015) Information Certain Mack vehicles built between January 1, 2013 and August 17, 2015 may experience a premium tech tool (PTT) error code 38 for SCR Overtemp when performing a PTT regeneration. If error code 38 occurs, check the engine ECU main software before performing any troubleshooting. If the engine ECU main software is less than the number referenced in the table below, the engine ECU and aftertreatment control module (ACM) must be reprogrammed. The new logic associated with software will allow regeneration temperatures to reach the maximum level, when the maximum level is exceeded, the regeneration will enter a cool down mode and allow for the temperatures to drop below the maximum level and the regeneration to continue. A possible change to the regeneration may be extended length of regeneration time due to the cycling in and out of the cool down mode when the regeneration is initiated with PTT.
