The Title and APPLIED VEHICLES section have been revised. No other changes have been made. Please discard previous versions of this bulletin. APPLIED VEHICLES: 2013-2017 Altima Sedan (L33) IF YOU CONFIRM The air conditioner does not blow cold air, Magnet clutch AND The magnet clutch is determined to be the cause when following the diagnosis procedure in the HAC section of the Electronic Service Manual (ESM). Magnet coil Figure 1 ACTION Replace the magnet coil. Refer to SERVICE PROCEDURE on page 3. NOTE: Do NOT discharge the refrigerant or remove the A/C compressor for this procedure. IMPORTANT: The purpose of ACTION (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire SERVICE PROCEDURE as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair. See your Nissan dealer to determine if this applies to your vehicle. 1/4 Required Tools Drive Plate Installer J-38873-A Figure 2 NOTE: The tools in Figure 2 are used to install the A/C compressor clutch pulley assembly and the clutch disc. Clutch tool J-52173-R1 Figure 3 NOTE: The tool in Figure 3 is used to prevent the clutch disc from rotating while the clutch disc bolt is being removed/installed. 2/4 NTB16-112a SERVICE PROCEDURE Magnet Coil Replacement 1. Replace the CLUTCH COIL ASSY-COMPRESSOR (magnet coil). Refer to the Electronic Service manual (ESM), section HA – Heater & Air Conditioning System for replacement information. See page 2 for required tools. IMPORTANT: The magnet coil for the applied vehicles is retained by a single snap ring as shown in Figure 4. Figure 5 (and illustrated in the ESM) is incorrect for the applied vehicles. The magnet coil is not attached by three bolts. CLAIMS INFORMATION Submit a Primary Part (PP) type line claim using the following claims coding: DESCRIPTION PFP OP CODE SYM DIA FRT RPL MAGNETIC CLUTCH ASS'Y (1) TD20AA ZE 32 (2) (1) Reference the Parts Information table and use the Part Number as the PFP.
