Performance / Stuck Off - GHG17 ( US17 ) Chassis With Common Rail Fuel System
Cause
GHG17 ( US17 ) chassis equipped with the common rail fuel system may set DTC
P009E - 73
Solution
If a chassis equipped with GHG17 emissions and the common rail fuel system is setting
DTC P009E - 73, PRIOR TO performing guided diagnostics or replacing any
components:
• Check for the presence of physical symptoms or related DTCs that could indicate an
existing fuel system issue.
• If there are no related DTCs and no physical symptoms present:
- Clear the code and release the chassis. P009E occurring by itself with no
performance issues does not indicate a problem. This issue will be addressed in
an upcoming software release.
• If there are other fuel system or engine related DTCs and/or symptoms present:
- Diagnostic procedures should be followed for any codes or symptoms
accompanying P009E.
