Technical Background
The customer may have a concern of functionality concerns of the infotainment system upon start-up of the vehicle.
Service
The MIB2 infotainment system may experience concerns if it is not allowed to fully boot up prior to attempt to utilize it‘s
functions. These can include but are not limited to:
1. Reverse camera inoperative.
2. App connect not functioning properly.
3. The infotainment system not fully booting. i.e. the customer starts the vehicle and immediately places the
shifter into reverse while the infotainment system is still on the welcome screen, or connects their device to
the vehicle’s USB port before starting the vehicle.
Solution: Inform the customer to allow the infotainment system to fully boot before attempting to connect any
devices, placing the vehicle into reverse, or other infotainment functions.
