INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this service bulletin is to inform you about the innocent traces of lubricant at the
bottom of the transmission bell housing on new vehicles. They are caused by the protective anticorrosion coating at the inside of the bell housing which becomes liquid at transmission operating
temperature. This phenomenon is temporarily and no indication that there is a sealing
problem! The lubricant can easily be removed with ordinary cleaning product.
