Complaint:
When repairing power steering hose connection to power steering cooler the clamp may not be positioned correctly
Cause:
The clamp located on the steering gear return line may not be positioned correctly
Remedy:
Replace Spring Style Clamp with Screw Clamp (N000000 000665)
Attention: Please utilize the following pictures to assist in the replacement of the spring style clamp with worm style
clamp.

1. See WIS instructions AR46.25-D-3020-01SE (Disconnect / connect hydraulic lines on power steering cooler).
2. Clamp return line to reservoir (1) with Matra clamp (2) to avoid oil leaking.
3. Open clamp (3) using hose clamp pliers (W454 589 00 37 00) and remove return line to oil cooler (4). Clamp (3)
can then be discarded.
NOTE: Collect leaking power steering oil.
4. Spray cooling pipe (5) with brake cleaner and allow to dry.
5. Using a clean lint-free cloth, spray with brake cleaner and clean the hose inside the connection area.
NOTE: The mating surfaces on the cooler pipe and retrun line to oil cooler must be completly free of oil and dry before
installation.
6. Install the screw clamp (7) on to the return line to the oil cooler (4).

7. Connect the return line to oil cooler (4) to the power steering cooler tube (5). To do this, push the return line (4) on
to the cooling tube (5) as far as the stop (6).
8. Position the screw clamp as described in (4_Correct Position of Hose Clamp.jpg).
9. Tighten the screw clamp (7) to 5 Nm.
NOTE: Be sure to clean all power steering oil residue from frame rail.
10. Fill power steering reservoir and bleed system (Follow WIS document AR46.30-S-0010S)
