Condition – May have loss of data with multiple U-codes – Possible unwanted seat movement or memory mirror
doesn’t function – Possible intermittent No Crank/No Start or Reduced Power
Cause
IP wiring harness may be chafed at the steering column to I-shaft connection, possible water intrusion
at BCM due to HVAC drain hose blockage, improper routing, disconnected, or water intrusion in
connectors X500, X200, X201, X600, X700, X800.
Correction:
Inspect IP harness at base of steering column, by the I-shaft. If the harness is cha ed, repair damaged wires and
zip tie the harness away from the I-shaft.
Inspect the HVAC drain hose is properly routed and not plugged if water is leaking in to the BCM.
Inspect for water intrusion at X200, X201, X500, X600, X700 and X800. Remove the connector and inspect both
sides of the connectors to ensure there is no water intrusion. Repair connector as needed and test for the water
leak and repair.
