Subject: Bulletin No: 09-004/17 Last Issued: 01/13/2017 DRIVER AND/OR PASSENGER SUNVISORS DROP BY THEMSELVES 2007-2015 CX-9 - DRIVER AND/OR PASSENGER SUNVISORS DROP BY THEMSELVES APPLICABLE MODEL(S)/VINS 2007-2015 CX-9 vehicles with VINs less than JM3TB******470223 (produced from Oct. 24, 2006 to Nov. 18, 2015) DESCRIPTION On some vehicles, the driver and/or passenger side sunvisor(s) do not stay up in the proper position against the ceiling. The sunvisors may gradually lower under their own weight. In very hot climates, some of the inner plastic sunvisor components may become fatigued and broken through repeated sunvisor use. Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure. REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Verify the customer concern. 2. Replace the affected side sunvisor(s) with the modified service part(s) according to the instructions on MS3 online (SUNVISOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION). NOTE: The configuration of the modified sunvisors has been improved to reduce stress on the inner plastic parts. 3. Verify the repair.
