Technical Background
KESSY equipped vehicles may not have any original keys. With a replacement KESSY key, there is no activation of
terminal 15 or ignition. ODIS may not scan vehicle and / or switch terminal 15 / ignition on after key adaptation.
Service
It’s not necessary to activate the flash to pass, brake pedal, hazards or jumping terminal 15 relay for this
recommendation. Start a new vehicle scan and when ODIS displays the VIN, on that screen uncheck working with
GFF guided fault findings. Then continue with vehicle scan under the Special Function tab run the Adapt Immobilizer
test plan. When the test plan asks if you want to adapt keys, remove fuse SC19 for 30 seconds, re-install and continue
with the key adaptation, making sure the reader coil is exposed and keys are put flat against the reader coil while
adapting.
