REPLACEMENT OR SWAPPING BETWEEN VEHICLES
APPLIED VEHICLES: Infiniti vehicles equipped with Intelligent Key
SERVICE INFORMATION
The Intelligent Keys used on the various Infiniti vehicles may not be interchangeable between models and
years.
Although the Intelligent Keys may look the same on the outside (physical appearance) they may have different
manufacturers and/or different electronic architecture on the inside.
These keys look the
same, but have
different manufacturers
and are not
interchangeable.
DO NOT attempt to register an Intelligent Key from one vehicle to another vehicle.

If the wrong type of Intelligent Key is being used, registration will not complete.
Make sure to confirm (using the VIN and FAST) that the Intelligent Key(s) being used are correct for the
vehicle being worked on.
Infiniti Bulletins are intended for use by qualified technicians, not 'do-it-yourselfers'. Qualified technicians are properly trained
individuals who have the equipment, tools, safety instruction, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. NOTE: If you believe
