Infiniti Qx56 2010

• Recall 86201 [USA]: If the collar weld separates, the vehicle handling will deteriorate, possibly resulting in a vehicle crash.
  Nissan is recalling certain front and rear lower links, p/nos. 54501zq00a, 54500zq00a, 551a1zq00a, 551a0zq00a , 54501ea00a, 54500ea00a, 551a1ea500, 551a0ea500, 54501zr00a, and 54500zr00a, sold between november 25, 2009 and may 14, 2010 as replacement parts for model year 2004 through 2010 titan, armada, and qx56, and model years 2005 through 2010 frontier, xterra, and pathfinder vehicles. The lower control link assembly has two cylindrical collars forming the inboard attachment points to the chassis. Due to an improper welding process some collars may contain welds that do not meet strength specifications.
  nissan will notify owners and dealers will replace any affected lower link free of charge. The safety recall began on july 12, 2010. Owners may contact nissan at 1-800-647-7261.

• Recall 74303 [USA]: The driver will experience unusual and noticeable looseness in the pedal and a reduction in braking force increasing the risk of a crash.
  Nissan is recalling certain model year 2008-2010 titan, armada, and infiniti qx56, and model year 2008-2009 nissan quest vehicles. The brake pedal pivot pin end was not spin-formed to specification during the manufacturing process of the brake pedal assembly. The pivot pin could slide and cause the brake pedal to partially disengage from the brake pedal bracket.

  Certain vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of canada motor vehicle safety standard 210.1 - user-ready tether anchorages for restraint systems. Specifically, the pictograms identifying the location of the tether anchors measure 15 mm in height instead of 20 mm as required by the standard. Correction: since this non-compliance condition does not pose any safety risk, no corrective action is required.

  On certain vehicles, the brake pedal pivot pin end was not properly manufactured. As a result, the pin may not remain in place, causing the brake pedal to partially disengage from the brake pedal bracket. If this occurs, the driver will experience unusual and noticeable looseness in the pedal and a reduction in braking force. A reduction in braking force may lead to increased stopping distances and the risk of a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: owners of all potentially affected vehicles will be contacted and their brake pedal assembly will be inspected and replaced if necessary.

• Recall 2010088 [Canada]: Powertrain
  On certain four-wheel drive vehicles, the joint portion of the front driveshaft may contain small cracks. These cracks may eventually lead to a failure, resulting in separation of the front driveshaft. If the driveshaft failed while the vehicle was moving, a loud noise would be heard. If the vehicle were in 2wd mode, the driveshaft would come to rest on the frame cross-member, and the vehicle could be operated normally. The driveshaft would not come in contact with brake, steering or fuel system components, therefore the risk of a crash is considered minimal. Correction: dealers will inspect the vehicle and replace the front driveshaft if necessary.

  On certain vehicles, the lower control link assembly collars (forming the inboard attachment point to the chassis) may not have been manufactured correctly. If the collar weld fails, the cylindrical collar can open, which will allow the collar to slip over the mounting bolt and bushing. This may change the wheel camber, which could allow vehicle handling characteristics to deteriorate, possibly resulting in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the lower control link assembly.

My airbags light are one 2 weeks now for no reason. My car is park in my garage

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 infiniti qx56. The contact stated that moisture entered the headlights, causing them to fail. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 90,000.

Infiniti has no specs on who can safely sit in the center seat of the third row of my suv. There is plenty of room for a third person to sit in that space -- and there is a center seatbelt standard on this vehicle... However, there is no headrest. I'm hoping you have info on height and weight requirements for who can safely sit in that seat without risk of whiplash or other neck injury in case of sudden stops. Thank you!

My airbag light and seatbelt lights areon and there was no accident prior to this coming on. Dealer stated i would have to pay to get it repaired because there is no recall.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 infiniti qx56. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 70 mph, the vehicle dynamic control off slip on warning indicator illuminated and stayed on until the vehicle stopped. The contact also stated that the failure occurred four times prior to the vehicle being taken to the dealer for a diagnosis. The vehicle was taken to the dealer four times and they adjusted the brakes but the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000.

I was driving straight down water st, upper marlboro, md on my way to work and the rear overhead console (console assy-roof) just fell on my shoulder and back seats. I've attached images showing the unit breaking apart from the screws and after research i see that this has been an ongoing issue with infiniti and nissan vehicles alike.

The rear overhead console fell while driving. Apparently it was due to the heat on the roof that melted the 6 clips inside that holds it to the ceiling, i'm confident this has to be a manufacturer defect and needs be corrected before someone dies. If my two small children were in the vehicle it could have easily killed one if not both. Flimsy plastic brackets that can easily melt, should not be used in a vehicle like this. Currently, the only thing holding it up is the main power cable. This should be a recall since there are thousands of infinity and nissan armada's with the same exact issue. And to think they want $90k for the new qx with cheap crap under the headliner. Really?!?! When i contacted infinity usa, they acted surprised and said they have never heard of such a thing, at least that is what consumer affairs read off their script to me.
