Infiniti Qx80 2014

• Recall 112881 [USA]: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source could cause a vehicle fire.
  Nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain model year 2012-2014 nissan juke, 2012-2013 infiniti m56, qx56, and 2014-2015 infiniti q70 (v8 engine vehicles only), and qx80 vehicles. The fuel pressure sensors may not have been sufficiently tightened during production. As a result, the fuel pressure sensor may loosen with vehicle usage and cause a fuel leak.
  nissan will notify owners, and dealers will re-torque the fuel pressure sensors free of charge. The recall began on january 25, 2015. Owners may contact nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

• Recall 108892 [USA]: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's air bag, the incorrect part may block the flow of propellant to the air bag and the air bag's inflator may rupture. the rupture could cause metal fragments to strike and potentially seriously injure the vehicle occupants.

(nissan) is recalling certain model year 2013 infiniti qx56 vehicles manufactured september 1, 2012, to april 26, 2013, and 2014 infiniti qx80 vehicles manufactured june 18, 2013, to february 11, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the driver's frontal air bag inflator may have been manufactured with an incorrect part.

• Recall 101587 [USA]: An incorrect gawr listing may result in the vehicle being overloaded which may increase the risk of a crash.
  Nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain model year 2014 infiniti qx80 vehicles manufactured december 2, 2013, through january 27, 2014, and equipped with 20 inch wheels. In the affected vehicles, the certification label incorrectly lists the gross axle weight rating (gawr) as 4,497 lb instead of the correct 4,343 lb. As such, the vehicles do not comply with part 567 "certification regulation."

• Recall 2014539 [Canada]: Fuel supply
  On certain vehicles, the fuel pressure sensor connected to the engine fuel delivery rail may not have been sufficiently tightened during vehicle assembly. Should the pressure sensor loosen, fuel could leak past a gasket used in the connection between the sensor and the rail. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will inspect the pressure sensor and tighten to specification. Note: this is an expansion of recall 2012-074. Vehicles that were repaired under the previous campaign are not affected because that remedy would have corrected the subject condition.

• Recall 2014476 [Canada]: Airbag
  On certain vehicles, the driver's (frontal) airbag inflator was built with an incorrect part which could cause the inflator to rupture during a deployment. In a crash, this may cause airbag components to separate, which could allow fragments to be propelled toward vehicle occupants, increasing the risk of injury. Correction: dealers will replace the driver's (frontal) airbag.

  Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of canada motor vehicle safety standard 110 - tire selection and rims. The compliance label may contain incorrect rear gross axle weight rating (gawr) information, and may list the rim diameter as being 20" for vehicles equipped with 22" wheels. This could result in vehicle overloading and/or use of replacement tires of an incorrect size and load rating and could adversely affect vehicle handling, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: owners will be supplied with a revised compliance label and installation instructions. Owners may also have the label installed by a dealer.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 infiniti qx80. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, there was an abnormal squealing sound coming from the engine, lasting for approximately ten minutes. There was an unknown warning light illuminated during the failure. The contact took the vehicle to faulkner infiniti mechanicsburg (6720 carlisle pike, mechanicsburg, pa 17050, (717) 691-8900) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the timing chain needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 112,244.

My airbag indicator light came on almost immediately following purchase. I took it to be fixed by infiniti service department. After picking up the vehicle, the light came back on. This cycle repeated multiple times. The 4th time, infiniti stated they have completed the "flow chart" provided by the manufacturer to solve the problem and had to speak to engineers to troubleshoot next steps. They quoted another part of the airbag system to be replaced. This time, i requested a guaranteed fix. They denied the request and stated they cannot guarantee anything. Client affairs has contributed toward the costs of some of the repairs as good will. At this point, this safety issue should no longer fall on the consumer at all since infiniti cannot seem to fix the issue within a reasonable number of attempts. There is currently a class action lawsuit against takata for faulty airbag systems causing hundreds of injuries and even deaths. There are tons of recalls, yet this vehicle is not on a recall list. My extended warranty, the lemon law, the dealer, and the service department have all denied responsibility of the safety airbags. They are now having me pick the vehicle up, unresolved, despite the risk to my safety. I am moving forward with next steps to file safety complaints and publically express my concerns before someone gets hurt. I want my vehicle to be considered for airbag recall immediately. Ignition randomly will not start. Mechanics can not locate the issue only stating that it is traced back to an unknown electrical problem. I've heard about this same issue from other fellow qx80 owners. Again this is random and can happen for days at a time and then not at all for a week and then resurface. My family and i have been stranded in inclement weather, dangerous areas of unknown cities with this problem and it needs to be fixed! This has occurred 7 times in the past 2 days.

My timing chain was stretched. This is the same problem the infiniti qx56 had. My qx80 has the same motor and replacement timing chain part. The qx56 was issued a voluntary service campaign for this problem. My chain has not been included. Even though it has the same junk timing chain. Infiniti quoted me a repair price of $4800.

The car is having issues with the battery not keeping a charge. Spring 2018 took the car to the dealership several times, battery, starter, alternator checks out ok but even after replacing a cracked battery in summer 2018 with a new now march 2019 the 7th month old battery does not work. My car will not start without a charge when stationary.
