Purpose:
According to an amended ruling in the visual inspection labeling requirement in Federal Motor Vehicle Safety
Standard (FMVSS) No. 304, the periodic inspection interval for compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel containers
has been modified to “at least every 12 months.” McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing will support this change by
updating safety decals and installing these new decals when a vehicle is inspected by McNeilus CNG technicians,
and by answering questions regarding this periodic inspection interval update and how McNeilus will support it.
