2013 BUICK ENCLAVE with 28000.0 miles

04/24/2014 3:56pm our 2013 Enclave suddenly went into reduced engine power mode while traveling on the interstate at speeds of 65-70 when suddenly speed was reduced to 35-45mph. My wife almost got rear ended. She contact onstar for diagnostics but they could not see any issue with the vehicle. (not issues or diagnostic codes found) when this happened the service stabilitrak light lit, traction off light lit, flashing service engine soon light lit. Car running rough and went into power reduced mode with sudden reduced speed while driving on hwy. To date this has now happened several times and until this past sunday, 10/26/2014 had never stored a code to show a problem. This event showed a C0561 code stored. I contacted the dealership for an appointment but they were not able to look at it until today, 10/29/2014 at this point there apparently were too many drive cycles and the code had cleared. The dealership advised me to bring it in asap on the next event of this happening without turning the vehicle off, i have know idea when or where i'll be when it happens again.... This is a big safety issue with this vehicle and i just hope to not get into an accident from this before they are able to fix it.

2013 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE with 34800.0 miles

This has now occurred twice within the past 30 days. While in motion, the vehicle transmissions jerks, and speed is immediately reduced to 5mph. The stability control light comes on as does the check engine light. A remote diagnostics scan from on-star identified 3 error codes: C0561, P0700, P182E. The first time it occurred while exiting a highway off-ramp. This vehicle was taken to the dealership. The dealership informed me that there were no know issues related to this, no recalls, and no service bulletins existed describing this behavior for the 2013 model year. They were unable to recreate the problem and returned the vehicle to me. This happened again yesterday while approaching an intersection and slowing from ~35mph with traffic close behind. This is an extremely dangerous system behavior which could have easily resulted in a severe incident in a dangerous intersection. While the vehicle is in the state where the stability control light is on we observed hard transmission shifting/jerking into and out of park, reverse, neutral, and drive. We turned the vehicle off for 15 minutes. Upon restarting, normal operations were restored with the exception of the check engine light. The check engine light turned off after ~25-30 miles of driving.

2012 GMC ACADIA with 98500.0 miles

While driving at highway speeds last week my 2012 awd Acadia having a major malfunction. 1. While driving, door locks engage/disengage 2. Trans appears to slip into neutral (high rev/ no power) 3. On the dashboard digital readout the transmission "blinked" into p from d (while driving) 4. Traction control engages/disengages and the vehicle lurches forward and hard stops 5. Trans enters some sort of limp home mode where it allows me to drive only up to 60mph, @4000 rpm (like 3rd gear) this process repeated continually for over an hour drive to the dealer, normal operation appeared to occur at speeds below 45mph, but only temporarily and the issue continued again at the lower speeds. I call onstar and they pull codes for me while enroute to the dealer: ecm code =U0101 tcm code= none (failed to probe module) abs code= U0101 abs code= C0561 (issue with traction control system)- "service within 7 days" a quick search in automotive forums reveals several other people with almost the exact same issue, with no specific solutions.

2010 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE with 114000. miles

June 2016, approx. 114,000 mi - felt a lurch in stop & go traffic; flashed "service stabilitrak," "service traction control," "backup alerts = off". The check engine light appeared. A few miles down the road when traffic sped up, i realized i only had one gear and could not accelerate above 60mph. A serious problem on the interstate! Several hours later, the check engine light remained on, but the car drove normally -- straight to the repair shop, where it was deemed to need $2400 in transmission repair due to the following fault codes: P182E & C0561. They will replace the transmission mode shift sensor and the transmission control module. The mechanic also informed us that we will eventually need a $700 repair for the control arms in the rear suspension -- ge has corrected a known fault in the parts. All this is on top of a $3000 repair done in april 2015 at 92,500 mi. For known steering defects. In that case, as the Traverse warmed up, the power steering got hard to turn. Gm repaired part of the problem at no cost, replacing power steering pump and gear housing. Another mechanic completed the replacement of the rack and pinion assembly that was also part of the problem. These are both substantial defects and repairs needed in a vehicle that was expected to last much longer before needing more than routine maintenance.

2010 CHEVROLET MALIBU with 80000.0 miles

Fist occurred approx. 4yrs ago the steering will lock while car is in motion traction light pops on and steering will lock cannot move the only recourse is to place in park, turn off and back on to free steering. I reported to maundy Chevrolet dealership i was there is not a check engine light on so there is nothing that can be done. This continue to happen throughout the 4yrs maybe twice a year until ending of 2017 when it became more consistent. After march of 2018 after it happened 3 time within that month, once with my granddaughter in the car, i took my vehicle to pep boys for a tune up {please note preventance maintenence work is being constantly done all this while } spoke to the electrician that was performing the tune up, and explained what the issue was, he did preformed a tune up and ran a diagnose and found a C0561 code in the system. He advise me to return to the dealership with this information which i did, along with the paperwork from pep boys. Ironically despite the check engine light not being on mundy Chevrolet " found the issue" which amounted to $1400.00 in repair work. { again please note i have been taken my car into the dealership to have varying maintenance work done} i contacted gm, i was assigned a case number and a senior case advisor by the name of destiny, despite several calls and voice mail, i am yet to receive a call from destiny. Gm has shown no interest in an issue that is life threating. Imagine your steering basically going "dead" while the car is in motion. I am lucky to still be alive. This has happen on city street, while in motion particularly on turns.

    2010 PONTIAC G6 with 95000.0 miles

Intermittently while stopping the abs and traction control malfunction errors come up on the dash and the traction control off light comes on. After i stop and release the brakes the lights turn off. I have taken it to a local service station and to the dealer the only code registered was C0561 which, from what i have been told, is another computer telling the brake controller to disable the abs or a communication failure. I have also had onstar run the codes as it happened and they only had the one code. This happens intermittently and sometimes 2 to 3 times during one drive. So far it has only happened at low speed, but i am concerned that it may happen when the abs or traction control are needed.

2009 SATURN AURA with 85000.0 miles

2009 Saturn Aura gm needs to update the recalls on the 09 Aura. In the past 4 mos i have luckily survived 8 crashes, now, from total loss of power steering. No one @ gm/Saturn will help. They say my vin# is not in the recall, but it is the exact same thing happening as is in the recall..Complete loss of power steering. Triangle illuminates on dash & says esc service power steering...Dealer could not diagnose problem, couldn't get a code. I subscribed to on star so when it happened i would be able to get a diagnostic code, & luckily their computer diagnosed the issue, & got the codes which are the exact problems in the recalls code C0545 power steering, & C0561 traction control module not functioning. They now tell me i need a complete steering column, which dorman products says my vin# is not in recall on steering shaft! General motors/Saturn please update your recalls< there are 1000's with the same issues in the 09 Auras, before one of us here becomes a statistic! I assume Saturn is doing nothing because they have filed bankruptcy & gone out of business. I can not drive this car & be safe!!! Someone please help!! I think we need an attorney!

Within a week of owning car error code P0011 camshaft alignment?Came up. Dealer got light to go off. Said nothing was wrong with car. Electrical problems with power locks also, now my complete steering column is gone.5 error codes C0545/C0561, non functioning electric power steering. I am lucky that i didn't die in this car or worse kill someone. I can't believe there is no recall on this car. Plenty of complaints online. Are we waiting for people to die???? Seriously. My car is at the dealership today and gm district specialist is dealing with the customer experience department at the dealership to see what they can do. I think this will be the last Chevrolet that i ever purchase. Unsafe. I hope people know how to complain on here because there are a lot of complaints online. 2008 was recalled for same issues. Maybe they used some of their old parts in my car from 2008.

2008 SATURN OUTLOOK with 125000. miles

Oh boy...Here goes. I have a 2008 Saturn Outlook fwd. For the second time in a span if a few years, water has leaked from the sunroof and into the electrical components, fuseboxes, floors, etc. This is the infamous drainhose clogging issue that many may know about. The car now only starts when the key is removed from the ignition. The steering wheel is locked but i can shift gears and move the car backward and forward. I've cleaned up the water, grime and little larvae growing from the water intrusion. All electronics work correctly (even the butt warmer 😊) what i've tried so far: -replaced the ignition switch. -replaced the battery -checked all of the fuses of the underhood fuseboxes -checked several fuses of the under dash fusebox -threw a temper tantrum -cut my finger trying to get to impossibly placed screws -checked for recalls. Gm still does not support and take responsibility for this issue -pulled the codes. The recent ones i've gotten are: C0899, C0561, P0017, P0011 last time this happened, it cost me over $1500 to replace all of the fuses/wiring. I am frustrated, yes. No, i don't have the money to fix this yet again. But i am more amazed at how gm leaves this issue with a tsb and a grain of salt, in spite of the overwhelming evidence of this long occurring problem. I am looking for advice. Mechanical advice. Legal advice. Meditation tips. I'll take anything. "sally", as the family calls her, is how we get to work, drive the kids to school, church, playdates, visit family, and other things that families have to do and like to do. I'd like to hear from gm, too, but i'm not going to hold my breath. Instead, you'll find me somewhere inside, beneath, or on top of sally. I'll be the one covered in grease, constantly sighing and wondering about all the others who have this same issue.

2007 PONTIAC TORRENT with 93700.0 miles

Been having recurring problems as follows: engine fails at high and low rates of speed. Dashboard reads "starting disabled service throttle," "service stabilitrac," and "engine power reduced."check engine light comes on. My temporary remedy is to disconnect the battery. (same problem occurs more predominantly, it seems, with 2007 chevy equinox.) purchased at 87,000 miles. First occurrence for me at about 92,000 miles. Repair garage said was a loose battery cable. Apparently not. Next occurrence was at around 94,000 miles while passing through a one-lane construction zone where crews were working. I was able to get to auto parts store for diagnostic reading. Their reading showed codes P0601 and C0561. I see that numerous other owners have taken their vehicles for service, but received negative results and incorrect repairs. This is a very dangerous situation. Not only are my life and my family's lives at risk, but also the lives of many other drivers, especially with numerous affected vehicles on the roadways. When will we get these issues resolved? Who has to pay the highest price before these problems are remedied? Is this really the national highway traffic safety administration? We have a problem, we are telling you about it. Why are there no investigations on the site? When can we expect answers? Look across numerous other online forums and find that there are thousands of affected vehicles and potential victims. Action must be taken. I wonder if my local news troubleshooter finds this story worthy of immediate publication?

2007 SATURN AURA with 122950. miles

Takata recall my car's power fluctuated which high acceleration then basically down to no power and the rpm gauge shut down while still traveling at 55 mph but the breaks and steering had high resistance which made me go into a panic, i eventually pulled to the curb and turned the car off and called my husband he told me to try making it home at a slow speed if it still drives so i started the car and the rpm gauge was back working and i told him and he said the problem sounds electrical and dangerous so i got home and we hooked up a obd2 code reader and it gave us cofde C0561 so my husband googled the code and it mentioned a recall for this problem then we found your site nhtsa.Gov we followed the steps and discovered there was a pending unrepaired reall on my vehicle and it was about that same problem and explain the fix remedy that involved the bcm so i contacted the chevrole, cadillac t dealership in victorville ca and made a appointment for 07/15/2019 to have the recall performed and as we arrived for the recall we were greeted by robert khoury and he got information of our visit and immediately stated that if they check the bcm we'll be charged $139.00 that will be applied to the repair i then let him know nhtsa.Gov said the recall will be done free of charge and mr. Khoury then stated junk people post on websites so i told him nhtsa is a official site but he wouldn't listen and stated no pay no fix but we'll repair the break lamp only so i left the car with them hoping the mechanics would do the right thing, i went to my office and printed out nhtsa safety issues & recalls and took it back to the dealership and tryed to show mr khoury but he refused to read it. We left again then was contacted later saying the car was ready and on my way home it repeated the same thing it did which led to the recall i called the dealer and khoury said you didn't wanna pay

2007 PONTIAC TORRENT with 123167. miles

We purchased the 2007 Pontiac Torrent on 10/02/2013. The test drive seemed to be fine. We drove the car in the city. The average speed limit is 25-35. We only drive the car to and from work and almost of the time to various drives. When i had to use highway 95 in delaware the car began pulling back and would not shift and from 40-55 (60) the car does not shift from 35-60 all of the time. We had to take the vehicle for inspection on 06/18/2014 we had the vehicle for 6-7 months . The 2007 Torrent failed (when we had only owned it 5-6 mths). Pf9-return mvxcs20p, mvxcs30m, we had no choice but, to have the car repaired that day. Certified automotive and diagnosed ( malfunction indicator lamp ) aka service engine includes the scanning of computer codes inmemory comparing da ta stream-clearing memory-performing retest for hard codes. Diagnose vehicle failed dmv emissions had 2 codes: P0404-P0405 both of which are associated with egr position error which caused the failure of the egr exhaust gas recirculation valve. The egrv (egr valve assembly) and the egrp (exhaust gas recirculation valve inlet pipe & gasket ( 402.84 ) diagnostic codes C0561, P0404,& P0405. Prior to returning to the dmv we had to go on 95 and drive the car for a minimum of 20 minutes prior to pass inspection. Confirmed fix summary 21 - exhaust gas recirculation (egr) valve, 1 - exhaust gas recirculation (egr) passages, 1 - exhaust recirculation wiring. Command egr valve opens and idle at times will stall.

The following codes are active; P0463 fuel level sensor a circuit high input, B0561 abs $43 sys disabled and C0561 sys disabled issues. The fuel gauge was fluctuating, but has now stopped working. The service engine soon light came on and will not reset to off. The service seat belt warning message came on. The problems were intermittent prior to 50,000 miles, but now, just after 50,000 miles nothing resets. I have found that this is a common problem and the repairs are very expensive, yet nothing has been done to convince gm to recall and make repairs. We own a 2006 Malibu with 35,000 miles on it. Now, i'm worried that it is going to have the same problem as our 2007 Malibu. And, who wants to face those repair bills! *kb
