• Recall 189914 [USA]: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
  Honda (american honda motor co.) is recalling certain 2006-2014 ridgeline vehicles that were sold, or ever registered in connecticut, delaware, illinois, indiana, iowa, kentucky, maine, maryland, massachusetts, michigan, minnesota, missouri, new hampshire, new jersey, new york, ohio, pennsylvania, rhode island, vermont, virginia, west virginia, washington d.C., and wisconsin. An accumulation of road salt may cause the frame mounting surface, where the fuel tank mounting bands are attached, to corrode and possibly detach the fuel tank, which can result in a fuel leak.
  dealers will inspect and repair the rear frame, as necessary, free of charge. Depending on the extent of any corrosion damage, honda may offer to repurchase the vehicle. • Recall 141851 [USA]: If the accelerator pedal binds, the engine may not quickly return to idle after the pedal is no longer pressed, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Dorman products, inc. (dorman) is recalling certain accelerator pedal assemblies part numbers 699-114 and 825-5029-1, sold as replacement parts for 2003-2006 acura mdx, 2004-2008 acura tl and tsx, 2003-2007 honda accord, 2005-2006 honda cr-v, 2007-2011 honda element, 2005-2008 honda pilot and 2006-2014 honda ridgeline vehicles. The rotating portion of the accelerator pedal assembly may bind. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 124, "accelerator control systems."

• Recall 75156 [USA]: When moving the bike arm bracket to its down position, this pinch bolt has the potential of causing severe laceration or amputation to the user's fingertips or hand.
  Honda is recalling 2,032 hitch style bike racks sold as aftermarket for use on my 2003-2007 and some my 2008 honda pilot, ridgeline, and acura mdx vehicles. A pinch bolt exists between the bike arm bracket and the upright assembly of the "hitch" style bicycle rack.

  On certain vehicles, the hole in the sheetmetal front bulkhead that serves as the base and pivot point for the hood support rod was not punched to specification. The hood support rod may fail to hold the hood in position due to insufficient strength.

• Recall 2019323 [Canada]: Airbag
  Issue: on certain vehicles, long-term exposure to high absolute humidity and temperature, combined with high temperature cycling, may eventually degrade the propellant contained in the airbag. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. If the airbag inflator ruptures, fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants or cause damage to the airbag assembly, preventing its proper function. Note: this is a new recall campaign that includes vehicles that had an airbag inflator replaced under a previous recall or had a replacement airbag installed. The previous recall provided an interim (short-term) repair. Interim repair parts must be replaced with the final repair parts provided in this recall. Safety risk: if the vehicle is involved in a crash requiring an airbag deployment, the airbag inflator could rupture and create a risk of injury. Corrective action: owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the driver and/or passenger-front airbag inflator. Note: the canadian climate results in the propellant degrading slowly. This recall is being conducted as a precaution to address future risk. I purchased this truck in july of 2020 and i just found that it has a unsusal amount of rust on the undercarriage of the truck .

Body rust, vehicle has 66,000 miles but it is unsafe to drive because of structural weakness due to excessive rust damage to the underside of the vehicle.

On saturday december 08,2018 @ 550pm i pulled into parking spot at supermarket and left my 2008 ridgeline running while i went into supermarket about 15 minutes ,and when i returned transmission fluid and antifreeze and drained out my ridgeline onto ground and rideline would not go into drive. Had to have it towed home.

Tl* takata recall. The contact owns a 2008 honda ridgeline. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v061000 (air bags); however, the parts for the recall repair were unavailable. The dealer (bill pearce courtesy honda, 780 kietzke ln, reno, nv 89502, 775-789-7999) was contacted and confirmed that parts for the recall remedy were not available. The manufacturer was notified and stated that they would get back in touch with the contact, but the contact had not heard from them. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

The wiring harness for the blower motor melted behind the center lower dash area at a connection point.The vehicle had just been started and the a/c would not come on. The a/c came on briefly the next day and then failed again and has not come back on. Investigation of the wiring came up with melted point of contact. This could have easily caused a fire and was a known issue with the years prior to 2008.

Fitting failure of transmission line connection at radiator, causing damage to cooling system and transmission. Vehicle is rendered inoperable. Suspected cause is poorly designed radiator fitting.
