• Recall 247597 [USA]: A detached sunroof panel may become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Mercedes-benz usa, llc (mbusa) is recalling certain 2001-2011 c-class, clk, e-class, and cls vehicles. Please refer to mbusa's recall report for specific vehicle model details. The glass sunroof panel may not be properly secured and may detach.
  dealers will inspect and replace the sunroof panel as necessary free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed february 3, 2023. Owners may contact mbusa customer service at 1-800-367-6372. • Recall 184722 [USA]: A detached glass panel can separate from the vehicle and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Mercedes-benz usa, llc (mbusa) is recalling certain 2006-2007 c350, c230, c280, clk350, e320cdi, e350 wagon, e350, 2006 c55 amg, clk500, cls500, cls55 amg, e500 wagon, e500, e55 amg, 2007 clk550, cls550, cls63 amg, e550, e63 amg, and e63 wagon amg vehicles. The bonding between the glass panel and the sliding roof frame may deteriorate, possibly causing the glass panel to detach from the vehicle.
  mbusa will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the glass panel bonding and replace the sliding roof, as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed may 7, 2021. Owners may contact mbusa customer service at 1-800-367-6372. This recall is an expansion of recall number 19v-918. Mbusa's number for this recall is 2021040012.

• Recall 77361 [USA]: In the event of a vehicle crash, the electrical fuel pump may not receive a crash signal that is required for the fuel pump to disconnect and prevent future fuel delivery as designed.
  Mercedes-benz is recalling my 2006-2008 m-class, r-class, my 2005-2009 slk-class, my 2005-2008 c-class, my 2003-2004 and 2006-2008 clk-class, my 2003-2008 e-class, my 2004 and 2008 cl-class, my 2008 cls-class, my 2004 and 2007-2008 s-class, my 2003 g-class, and my 2003-2004, 2006 and 2009 sl-class vehicles. A software calibration number (scn) coding received on the affected vehicles during a recent workshop visit was incorrect. Depending on the model year and model affected, the results of an incorrect scn coding can affect a number of vehicle safety and emission functions including the following types of functions: (1) the fuel gauge readings may be incorrect; (2) a stuck fuel-level sensor may not be displayed in the instrument cluster; (3) the obd system may cause the check engine light to illuminate incorrectly; and, (4) the speedometer may be out of tolerance.

• Recall 75087 [USA]: When this happens, the vehicle may lose power rather than enter a limp-home mode. in addition, the vehicle cannot be restarted after failure of the electrical connection in the sensor, increasing the risk of a crash.
  On certain passenger vehicles equipped with diesel engines, the crankshaft sensor could fail due to separation of bond wires from the lead frame in the sensor. This results in an interruption in the electrical connection in the chip housing of the sensor.

Car smells like gas inside and out until about half a tank after reviewing mercedes benz forms in the benz world website it is a very common problem with the e500 and e550 in the years between 2005 and 2008 vehicles there are numerous complaints about it and not sure when it started i've just recently purchased the vehicle but the previous owner previous owner mentioned it to me as well i didn't thank to much about it till the smell has gotten so bad that the windows have to be rolled down to be able to breathe in the vehicle

Takata recall vehicle airmatic suspension failed again today driving on the highway...This is the second time this has happened. I'm fed up with mercedes!

After filling up the fuel tank there is a strong odor of gasoline. I smells inside and outside of the car until the car reaches three quarters of a tank or less. I have read in the mercedes benz forums that alot of people are having problems with this! I am driving a ticking time bomb.

I wish to report an issue with the air-matic suspension on my 2007 mercedes benz e550. I had the air struts replaced a few years ago with mercedes benz parts at the dealership and have driven approximately 16,000 miles since replacement without accident. The car has 36,000 miles currently and is driven exclusively in town, on paved roads, and garaged at home. On september 25, 2018 the strut on the front left (driver side) catastrophically failed causing the car to pull hard to the right as the front left dropped violently. I have contacted mercedes benz usa to report this issue for their investigation. My current information is the strut experienced an internal failure as reported by the mechanic, but would need further investigation to determine exact root cause. My concern is that this part failed suddenly without warning and if i were not traveling at a low rate of speed (approximately 30 mph), the outcome could have been far worse. I feel that given the low miles, newness of the part, and sudden failure, this could be an indication of a more serious issue with manufacture of this component and should be further investigated.

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 mercedes-benz e550. While driving various speeds, the contact depressed the brake pedal and heard a squeaking noise. The brake pedal traveled to the floorboard. The contact mentioned that the air bag warning indicators were illuminated and the rear brake lights failed to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the brakes, rotors, and ball joints were faulty, and all four tires were worn. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The contact purchased the vehicle on july 4, 2017. Less than three years after driving off of the used car lot, the serpentine belt fractured, the brakes did not work, the ball joints were faulty, the tires were worn, and the front passenger side air bag did not work. There were no recalls for the vehicle. The failure mileage was 128,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 mercedes-benz e550. While fueling the tank at the service station, fuel spilled onto the ground. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the fuel container was replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000. Updated 04/22/16*lj the consumer stated no replacement part was provided.

I just noticed a very potent gas odor on the rear both right and left side of the car. There are no leaks on the garage floor or my driveway. I know there was a recall for the 2003-2006 e-class, but was there one for 2007-2009 models as well? I just noticed it today and i am the 2nd owner of the vehicle, car has about 78k on the odometer.

Smell strong gasoline every i fill up the gas tank.
