• Recall 35291 [USA]: Fuel could escape from the fractured body of the connector onto the engine or side of the bike. fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, can result in a fire.
  On certain motorcycles, the fuel connector linking each of the feed and return fuel hoses to the fuel pump mounting plate may fracture following in-service handling.
  dealers will replace the connector. The recall began on july 30, 2004. Owners should contact triumph at 1-678-854-2010.

• Recall 311 [USA]: This can cause a loss of control of the motorcycle.
  On certain motorcycles, the rear wheel needle roller bearing as fitted only to certain single sided swinging arm motorcycles can deteriorate and seize causing the rear wheel to lock-up.
  dealers will replace all rear wheel bearings. Owner notification began september 19, 2002. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact triumph at 1-678-854-2010.

  If brake pedal is adjusted from its nominal position and rear brake pedal clevis pin end float taken up to offside of bike clevis pin clip may foul top edge of control plate thereby applying some degree of rear brake drag. Rear brake drag may apply rear brake.

• Fuel line fitting leaks investigation # PE03053

  Triumph responded to odis information request on february 23, 2004. In addition to the my2000-2002 triumph daytona and sprint models, triumph identified the following additional models that were built with the same fuel line fittings:2000-2003 tt600, 2002-2004 speed four, 2004 daytona 600, 1997-2004 daytona t595 & 955, 1997-2004 speed triple 855 & 955, 2000-2004 sprint rs 955, 1999-2004 sprint st 955, and 1999-2004 tiger 855 & 955.The majorityof these motorcycles will be included in the recall.A modified connector was introduced late in calendar year 2003, which does not appear to exhibit the defect. Motorcycles built after the modification will not be recalled.Triumph identified 13 united states and 6 uk complaints.One us complaint appeared to be related to a possible crash where leaking fuel caused a loss of traction. After odis review of triumphsdocuments, followed by a discussion of relevant facts with triumph, they made the decision to conduct the recall.The recalled vehicles will have the plastic fuel connectors replaced with a similarly designed aluminum connector. Rear brake failure on all 2002-2003 triumph bonneville america, america, and speed master motorcycles. If the bike has been on its side fallen off the kick stand or fallen over for any reason and you get it back upright and proceed with normal operation after riding and pumping the rear brake several times you have a complete failure. None of the motorcycles had any damage to the brake assy. This has happened to a lot of riders i have the vehicle vin numbers and the names of that operators. After contacting triumph they do not see it as a problem but as owners we do. We would like to see this fixed before someone who does not have any idea this can and does happen gets killed. One life is worth all of the motorcycles built. Please help us get this problem taken care of. I have a petition that only has 39 owners that have signed it so far of that group 17 including myself have had a rear brake failures. The petition is only a week old and is only seen by members of a group of members of a web site about triumph motorcycles. Out side this group of about 1500 members other riders have no way of knowing about this problem. No warning label nothing from dealers or triumph ltd or triumph usa. Please note that i do not know of any fatalities or injuries at this time but that some may exist and be miss reported. *jb

Fuel line quick disconnected began leaking while riding. Gasoline spills all over the hot engine and exhaust pipes. Dealer service rep said "this happens all the time". Feel this is a safety issue that triumph must know about and should address.*ak by the way, this valve is located about eight inches from the riders lap.
