Field Service Bulletin Trucks Volvo Trucks North America Greensboro, NC USA Date Group No. Release Page 4.2012 357 002 01 1( 2 ) Light Control Module (LCM), Reprogramming SB-10044250-1143 VN, VHD, VT, VAH FSB 357-002, Light Control Module (LCM), Reprogramming (April 2012) On some Volvo units equipped with clear LED clearance lights in the sun visor, they may exhibit an active fault code MID 216 PSID 49 FMI 5. This fault indicates a trailer marker open issue which is incorrect for the issue present on the vehicle. The issue is that the sun visor clearance lights are not drawing enough current and an active fault code is created. To resolve this issue follow the procedure below. Note: This issue may occur if replacing Amber or Clear lens in the sun visor. You must read and understand the precautions and guidelines in Service Information, group 20, "General Safety Practices, Engine" before performing this procedure. If you are not properly trained and certified in this procedure, ask your supervisor for training before you perform it. Repair 1 Perform accessory kit number 85134081 in Premium Tech Tool (PTT) service tool for the LCM. 2 Reprogram the LCM (MID 216) to the latest software. 3 Verify there are no active faults for LCM MID 216 after programming is complete.
