APPLIED VEHICLES: 2004-2015 Titan (A60) 2016-2018 Titan/Titan XD (A61) 2004-2015 Armada (TA60) 2017-2018 Armada (Y62) 2012-2018 NV1500, NV2500, NV3500 (F80) 2012-2018 NV Passenger Van (F80) APPLIED ENGINE: VK56DE (V8 engine) IF YOU CONFIRM An oil leak at the right side block ball plug behind the alternator. Block ball plug ACTION Use a punch to seat the block ball plug in the hole (refer to the Service Procedure). NOTE: Do not replace the engine block for this incident, if it should occur. Figure 1 IMPORTANT: The purpose of ACTION (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire Service Procedure as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair. Qualified technicians are properly trained individuals who have the equipment, tools, safety instruction, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. See your Nissan dealer to determine if this applies to your vehicle. 1/3 SERVICE PROCEDURE Max. Dia.7.5 mm (1/4 inch) 1. Obtain a drift punch with a maximum diameter of 7.5 mm (1/4 inch). Figure 2 Block ball plug 2. Use the punch and a hammer to tap the block ball plug further into the hole until it fully seats (see Figures 3 and 4). Alternator Figure 3 Block surface Move the ball plug further into the hole until it “bottoms out” (fully seats). Ball plug before seating 3.5 mm Ball plug after seating You will feel the ball become solid when it “bottoms out” (fully seats) as shown in Figure 4. Figure 4 3. Run the engine and make sure the oil leak is fixed. 2/3 NTB10-104c CLAIMS INFORMATION Submit a Primary Part (PP) type line claim using the following claims coding: DESCRIPTION PFP OP CODE SYM DIA FRT Engine Block Ball Plug - Repair (1) AX29AA ZR 41 0.3 hrs.
