IF YOU CONFIRM
An oil leak at the right side block ball plug
behind the alternator.
Block ball plug
ACTION
Use a punch to seat the block ball plug in
the hole (refer to the Service Procedure).
NOTE: Do not replace the engine block for
this incident, if it should occur.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
Max. Dia.7.5 mm (1/4 inch)
1. Obtain a drift punch with a maximum
diameter of 7.5 mm (1/4 inch).

2. Use the punch and a hammer to
tap the block ball plug further into
the hole until it fully seats (see
Figures 3 and 4).

Move the ball plug further into the
hole until it “bottoms out” (fully
seats).

You will feel the ball become solid
when it “bottoms out” (fully seats)
as shown in Figure 4.

3. Run the engine and make sure the oil leak is fixed.
