Technical Background
If component protection is activated (Figure 1) on the radio without any previous repairs or after replacing the
instrument cluster, running the “KS-Master (Gateway) connection system” test plan will take the radio out of
component protection.
Service
1. Connect O.D.I.S Service.
2. Navigate to and select the Special Functions tab.
3. Scroll down to the “25 – Component protection functions” section.
4. Perform the “KS-Master (Gateway) connection system” test plan (Figure 2).
