This Training Solution (TS) provides guidance when searching for service information for components
and systems not owned by Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA).
When servicing a vehicle's systems, keep in mind that not all components are owned by DTNA. DTNA
works with hundreds of suppliers (also known as vendors) to manufacture a vehicle product line. Service
information for the components that DTNA does own, such as the Freightliner AirLiner suspension system,
or Detroit-branded systems and components, can be found in Technical Communications (TechComm) on
DTNAConnect.
External organizations that supply components for our vehicles will typically have their own up to date service
information available online, and depending on the company, training and other communications.
When searching DTNAConnect, including DTNA Solutions for service information, keep the following in mind:
DTNA generally does not provide detailed guidelines for the maintenance and
repair of supplier components. There are limited exceptions for this. The suppliers who
have designed the system have a much better understanding of the maintenance and
repair requirements of their systems; therefore, you will usually find that manuals refer
you to the supplier service documentation.
To aid technicians in quickly finding the correct website for external service info, this post will list known
websites for DTNA component suppliers below.

before contacting your District Service Manager (DSM) for support.
