Volvo VN Models - Overhead Light Loose,
Detaching From Headliner


For Volvo VN models, the overhead light may become loose and possibly
separate from the headliner. A repair kit has been developed that adds to
the current light assembly and properly secures the light toi the headliner.
The kit can be applied without removal of the headliner.

Repair
1. Remove the light assembly from the headliner and disconnect it from
its wire harness.
2. Route the wire harness through the center of the backing plate, then
insert the plate through the opening in the headliner.
3. Remove the backing from the tape strips center the four screw holes

backing plate in the headliner opening. Press the plate into place
once centered.

4. Attach the bezel to the backing plate using the four screws provided.
5. Reattach the wiring harness to the light and snap the light into the
bezel. The completed assembly should look like the example below.

