2016 JEEP WRANGLER with 57668.0 miles

My vehicle has been in the dealership approx. Four times, because the service engine light comes on, followed by the traction control light. They said that the cable connection gets loose and they soldered it. This started about 20000 miles and is now at 57778 miles. This last time on 4-24-2019 they said that it has stored codes for the cam sensors on both banks and torque request denied signal and torque management signal performance. P2638, C121C, P0344, P0369. They said that it has pcm update and that they performed the pcm update again and cleared codes to see if they would come back. Vehicle driven 30 miles and and one large bump in the road and the lights turned on again. This happens while going down dirt roads. They also told me the first time that it was taken in that the cable is to short and causes stress and stretches, causing it to come loose. This time they said if the lights came back on that they would have to have the vehicle back to do more extensive tests and possible replace the sensors at my expense. This seems to be a reoccurring problem that always comes back. They also stated that this is a problem on all Wranglers. This seems to be a manufactures defect and needs to recalled and fixed.

2013 JEEP WRANGLER with 52000.0 miles

Both times my problem occurred i was driving down the highway at about 70-75 mph and the sway control and check engine lamp would both illuminate. The vehicle would go into power derate mode and you couldn't accelerate. Hooked a diagnostic code reader to the vehicle and found chrysler trouble codes P0369, P2638, and C121C. Had to do with camshaft sensor, and transmission torque request being denied. I took it to the dealership and they couldn't find any problem. I have found multiple people on online Jeep forums that have had the same issue occur. The dealership just had me go and pick up my vehicle exactly as it was when i brought it in. Hoping to find out if anybody had this issue and actually got it fixed. Had this issue occur twice. One time was the day that i bought the vehicle 7/28/2018 and the second was on my way to the dealership on 7/31/2018.

Car malfunctioned twice at high rate of speeds within days of each other. Extremely dangerous driving conditions. Car currently being towed again but not fixed.Received recall notice approximately 15 hours after car fixed first time, indicating the recall was a known problem because of timeframe. Not apparent from repair information that recall part was checked even though the same system was affected. -7/3 - 8:30pm driving at a high rate of speed on highway. Malfunction indicator and esc malfunction indicators came on, along with alarms. Pulled off highway when safe. Car shook violently. Towed to dealership. -7/5 - ~4:00pm - car fixed. Indicated "abs module dtcs C0037-62.C003a-62 and C121C-00. Found engine wrre harness connector c102 loose. Reinstalled connector c102. Cleared all codes. Performed extended road test. Verify okay." -7/6 ~12pm - received recall notice in mail. Safety recall m10/nhtsa 12v-197 abs/esc wiring. Recall calls out same parts as original malfunction that could cause crash without warning. -7/7 - 10:30am. Driving at a high rate of speed on highway. Same malfunction indicators came on with alarms. No place to pull off without causing a wreck. Slowed driving and put on hazards. Awaiting tow truck. Dealer alerted. I'm terrified of driving this car that has under 900 miles. Twice the incidents occurred in heavy highway traffic at high rates of speed.

2010 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY with 96000.0 miles

The following has occurred several times. The last occurrence was 4/12/19. About 5 to 10 minutes once i start driving, the brakes lock up, the wheel locks, the van stalls, and the orange traction light comes on. I turn the car off, put it in park and then restart it. After restarting, it drives ok. This has happened about 15 times since november of last year. I've taken it to two mechanics. On 4/18/19, the mechanic performed a diagnostic test. Codes found were P1790 and C121C. The battery was replaced and he said if the problem reoccurs the engine control module is faulty. The first mechanic also made some repairs. I've spent over $1000 trying to fix this issue. There's over 800 issues on this website of this issue. What would it take to get an investigation opened?

2010 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY with 83780 miles

When driving, the vehicle would shut off , steering wheel became stiff and brakes would not work, as if it lost all power. There would be abs and 'slippery' symbol on the dash board. It would happen during turning too and since the steering wheel was stiff, i was not able to turn it back straight and had to stop in the middle of the road. This vehicle stalling happened a few times and kept getting more frequent. I took it to dealer few times. They found code C121C stored in abs module once, but could not identify the problem. I read up online that other people are having the same problem and are replacing the egr valve. I asked dealer to replace that even though they did not think that was the problem. Ever since they replace the egr valve, it has been running okay. Its surprising that Chrysler dealer did not know of this know issue. But it is definitely not safe since the vehicle stalls anytime without notice and you cannot even control the steering wheel or brakes.

2009 VOLKSWAGEN ROUTAN with 71000.0 miles

We have owned the vehicle for about 2 months with no issues, when we purchased the vehicle it came with a clean carfax listing no recalls. On 3/10/15 my wife was driving on a 2 lane country road going about 35mph when the vehicle suddenly lost power and she lost control of the vehicle. The engine appeared to have cut out, she had no power steering and no power brakes and was unable to stop or steer the vehicle. The dash displayed the anti-slip light, but no others. The vehicle slowed down to a stop, thankfully there was no oncoming traffic as she was no longer in her proper lane, and no cars behind her. She was able to put it in park and restart it as if nothing had happened and it was fine after that for the rest of her commute. We contacted vw about the issue and they requested that we bring the car to a vw dealer for inspection. We did that, and vw claimed that our vehicle was not impacted by recall # rna1, but instead they insisted the issue was caused by a faulty egr valve, and gave me an engine trouble code of C121C that they claimed corresponded with the failing egr valve. Vw charged me over $100 for the diagnosis, and a day later after complaining to vw customer care they agreed to refund the charges. I brought the vehicle back to the independent dealership that i originally purchased the car at the same day that vw diagnosed this, and they were not in agreement with the egr diagnosis, and also could not corroborate the trouble code C121C as being related to an egr issue, rather it comes up as a torque request signal denied trouble code instead. The independent dealer also found that i had stored codes for abs malfunctions, sunroof errors and mic/ccn instrument cluster. The independent dealer cleared these codes before leaving that day. On 3/25/15 my wife was driving at about 35mph when the cars engine shut off again in a similar fashion. No codes

2008 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY with 103000. miles

The day we bought our vehicle we started having issues. The car would crank and not start for several seconds. Would randomly (every few months) shut off while driving (leaving power brakes/steering unavailable) and randomly just not start at all. Now we are having many electrical failures daily for no less than 20 minutes at a time: horn on continuous honk, wipers going crazy, wiper fluid spraying out, car shutting down in very dangerous situations, locks going up and down, the front seat blower motor shutting off intermittently. Also randomly the car will not 'shut off' when i take the key out. It's fully driveable without the key and the key opening is in the 'off' position. All of these things happen for about 20 minutes and then the car goes back to normal. When it's shut off, the car will not turn back on for apx 20 minutes. I was most recently stuck in a very dangerous intersection just as i was merging onto another freeway at the top of a clover-leaf intersection during rush-hour. Unable to get out of the vehicle and unable to start or move the vehicle - praying i wouldn't get hit, but i couldn't see because my wiper fluid was spraying at a constant speed and my wipers would not turn on. They've now 'guessed' that many of our issues are tipm related, but they're not guaranteeing that it will solve the problem and will cost $1200. They've ordered the party but i can't afford it! Pay the mortgage, or death by Chrysler? I have a copy of some codes that were pulled the first day of the 'daily' issues: U0141, P2533, C121C, B1A79, B10EC, P0691 - since then the list has more than doubled, but they did not provide me with a copy of the codes. I've contacted Chrysler explaining that this car is leaving us in horribly dangerous situations, but they have no interest in helping out. I made sure to say my 'goodbyes' on their recorded lines.

2008 JEEP LIBERTY with 58000.0 miles

There has been an intermittent issue where the check engine light comes on followed by the traction control light (usually after making a left hand turn.) when this first started the vehicle was still under warranty, and went to Jeep. They had our Liberty for several days and swapped out the cam and crankshaft sensors to "fix" this problem. The car again was acting up within a month or so, and when we called the dealer back to bring it back in they advised us that the extended warranty that we paid a lot of money for was now expired. I took it to a local auto parts store to have the codes read. It was again code C121C, in conjunction with the codes relating to faulty cam and crankshaft sensors. Since the service department stated that they replaced the cam and crankshaft sensors. I replaced the needed parts and this lasted maybe 20 miles, prior to the lights coming back on. I attempted to replace them a second time thinking i may have gotten a defective part or two, but it wound up being the same end result; about 10-20 miles in the check engine light and traction control lights came on. This prevented the vehicle from shifting into over drive, it prevents the vehicle from accelerating at a normal speed, and above 50 mph the whole vehicle will wildly shutter when you let your foot off the gas. Jeep will not warranty the drive terrain even though the state the vehicle should have a 100k mile warranty on the drive terrain.

Engine suddenly shut off while driving. It started back up and 2 miles shut off for the 2nd time. No warning, no rough running. Drove approx. 35 miles with no further problems. The computer showed code P0443 2 times and C121C once.

While traveling at highway speeds the car simply turned off (engine stops just like you turned the key to off). Total loss of power steering and power braking. Coasted to side of road, where car was restarted. This problem is similar to a problem in may 2012 when the car while traveling at highway speeds turned itself off. Stored code at the time was C121C. Dealer was unable to determine cause in may 2012.

2007 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE with 32800.0 miles

Originally having issues slowing down going around corners and up a steep incline. Felt like vehicle was staying in higher gear, you could down shift it manually. At that time there were no codes present in the system. Then last year in august 2011 we did a cross county trip (7000 miles) vehicle would stall at both low speed and high speeds, not every day. Sometimes vehicle would restart itself and others the key had to be removed and reinserted, but most times not. The weather did not seem to be a factor. Upon return vehicle had approx 45,000 miles, codes retreived from vehicle were multiple. Active codes: B2105, C121C pending code: P0524 stored codes P0129, P0688, P0884. At 35,000 miles new oem spark plugs and water pump (due to coolant leak) with new antifreeze. Vehicle is serviced regularly every 3,000 miles since new. Since 45,000 miles all related circuits and components have been inspected and checked for proper operation. New crank sensor and electrical ignition switch. Code B2105 keeps recurring even without stall. All wiring connections and grounds have been cleaned and checked, new battery at 36,000. Had vehicle to dealer and they said they may not be able to find problem. We have stopped driving this vehicle even though we are still paying for it because we feel that it is not safe. My husband has 40 years as certified automotive mechanic and is very frustrated with this vehicle.

    2006 CHRYSLER SRT8 with 90000.0 miles

The car is randomly bucking, jerking and stalling. I'm getting ridiculous error messages all at the same time including U0100 (lost communication with the ecm/pcm), C121C (torque request denied), U140E (implausible vehicle configuration), C2202 (original vin missing/mismatch), P0700 (tcm malfunction), U0164 (lost communication with heating, venting and cooling), and U110B (lost engine coolant message). All of these error messages came up at the same time after the car jerked, bucked and then stalled. This happens almost every week. This is not related to the stalling due to the faulty gas tank. I had my fuel tank replaced already under that extended lifetime warranty. This seems to be a short circuit somewhere. My best guess is a bad ground or splice point where water might be shorting things out. Many people are having these same problems and getting ripped off by dealers who don't know what the problem is. The dealer will claim to have fixed it (after changing a part or two) because the car will work at that exact moment. A day or two later, the same nonsense ensues. This needs to stop. The car is useless. I can't drive safely more than a couple of miles from my house. Can you imagine that? A car with a limited range of just a few miles?! Please help!!!!
