Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Valve/Solenoid Circuit Malfunction

DTC P0449, sometimes indicated as P044900 is an OBD diagnostic trouble code indicating a generic fault with the vehicle powertrain (i.e. engine and gearbox). This code identifies an error with the auxiliary emissions system causing evaporative emission control system vent valve/solenoid circuit malfunction.

The evaporative emission control system vent valve/solenoid circuit malfunction is a code that is set when the evaporative emission control system vent valve or solenoid circuit is not working properly. This code can be caused by a number of things, including a bad valve or solenoid, a wiring issue, or a problem with the ECU.
The best way to fix this code is to find and fix the underlying problem. This may require checking the wiring, replacing the valve or solenoid, or replacing the ECU.

Purge vent valve ground wire keeps breaking off in the wiring harness due to not enough protection(from the elements)and causing the check engine light to come on(P0449 -purge vent valve circuit malfunction) and sometimes have a gas order in the vehicle due to this ongoing issue and needs to be addressed on how to remedy this issue. This is the second time that i have with this issue.

2010 CHEVROLET IMPALA

The diagnostic revealed that there are 11 codes in the vehicle system. These codes ranged from passkey system failures to evap codes to transmission. Suspected failure of wiring harness altogether with possible bcm/cam failure as well. During battery test there was a regular drop in voltage while connected to the scanner reflecting a drain in the electrical system that could further be causing an issue. Codes are P0513 , P0523 , P0700 , P2122 , P0411, P0449 ,P0455. When driving stabilitrack, engine power reduced, and stabilitrack traction control. Sometimes the car shuts off while driving and the steering wheel will lock , i'd w ok old have to pull over on the side of the highway or street and pop the hood just to get the car started again.
