If the window breaks, the glass may separate into large pieces instead of very small ones. Note: this is a voluntary recall that is not being conducted under the requirements of the motor vehicle safety act. Safety risk: glass that breaks in to large pieces could create a risk of injury.   Issue: on certain vehicles, long-term exposure to high absolute humidity and temperature, combined with high temperature cycling, may eventually degrade the propellant contained in the airbag. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. If the airbag inflator ruptures, fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants or cause damage to the airbag assembly, preventing its proper function. Note: this is a new recall campaign that includes vehicles that had an airbag inflator replaced under a previous recall or had a replacement airbag installed. The previous recall provided an interim (short-term) repair. Interim repair parts must be replaced with the final repair parts provided in this recall. Safety risk: if the vehicle is involved in a crash requiring an airbag deployment, the airbag inflator could rupture and create a risk of injury. Corrective action: owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the driver and/or passenger-front airbag inflator. Note: the canadian climate results in the propellant degrading slowly. This recall is being conducted as a precaution to address future risk. Rust hole found in unibody at passenger's side rear where trailing arm bolts to vehicle in front of passenger's side rear wheel. Because this is so close to the bolt for the trailing arm, this is an immediate safety issue. Hole originally there but rust caused it to enlarge significantly. The trialing arm could break at any point and cause a severe crash. I was about to go on a long road trip and very likely this could have broken. Consumer stated the safety issue is caused by a design flaw in the 2007-2011 honda cr-v models and in fact a recall for this issue has happened in canada. The issue was discovered by my local mechanic during a routine oil change and tire rotation. There were no warnings, messages, or symptoms. After researching i found that this exact issue is being recalled in canada but not in the united states. I live in vermont and experience the same harsh winters and salted roads as canada. Shocked that this is not a recall in my area.

Doors are not unlocking on my 2011 honda cr-v. This is very dangerous. I parked the car overnight and the doors won't unlock. On further investigation, i saw that driver side door lock is stuck. It won't unlock with key fob nor with the key. Very very dangerous. Meaning, now i either i have to keep the windows down and fear the car being stolen or fear i won't be able to come out of the car in the event of an crash. I saw online that there are countless complaints about lock actuators being faulty but honda still did not issue a recall.

It appears honda has a known defect concerning the driver door locking and unlocking mechanism and they choose to make the consumer responsible for the cost of repair and if damage caused by their efforts to repair the customer's responsibility.Thankfully the 1,800 quote to replace the door panel was avoided; however, i was charged $839.74 (391.15 parts and 360 for labor at duval honda). The driver door would not unlock, which effected the trunk inability to open and i had to get in and out by leaving the passenger side unlocked and manually unlocking the passenger side to get in and out of the 2011 crv-ex. If i wasn't flexible i would have been trapped in my own car, which is a safety issue. It is disappointing of honda's lack of accountability.

My service advisor charges $60 for diagnosis, then calls back and says the cost just went up to $150 because they were having a hard time opening the door, then states they will have to keep my car another day and that i would be responsible for repairs of a new door panel if they damage it in their effort to open the door and that the cost would be $1,800. I need my transportation, my car is paid in full, i'm understanding why they chose not to reveal or be dumbfounded when i mentioned according to the lawsuit it was to repair the doors rather you were experiencing the problem or not. It's their product but they don't want accountability for a known issue. I drove home with my windows down in case i needed to climb out the window. I was having an anxiety attack afraid i would be trapped in my car inside or outside. Neal says it wasn't a safety issue so it was an extended warranty vs a recall. My service advisor charges $60 for diagnosis, then calls back and says the cost just went up to $150 because they were having a hard time opening the door, then states they will have to keep my car another day and that i would be responsible for repairs of a new door panel if they damage it in their effort to open the door and that the cost would be $1,800. I need my transportation, my car is paid in full, i'm understanding why they chose not to reveal or be dumbfounded when i mentioned according to the lawsuit it was to repair the doors rather you were experiencing the problem or not. It's their product but they don't want accountability for a known issue. I drove home with my windows down in case i needed to climb out the window. I was having an anxiety attack afraid i would be trapped in my car inside or outside. Neal says it wasn't a safety issue so it was an extended warranty vs a recall. It is definitely a safety issue on so many levels. I'm just surprised i never knew about the issue until i started experiencing the problem.

Note ! This is not a defective vehicle situation, but a malfunctioning braking system manufactured by blue ox. The honda was a towed vehicle behind a motor home. Please read the details carefully. The manufacturer, blue ox obviously was aware that dangerous situations could occur as they have a paragraph in the back of their manual about the possibility of a "false breakaway" having this occur could have resulted into a serious fatal accident. Why is blue ox allowed to sell a product that could potentially create a serious major accident? I have uploaded all of the communications with blue ox as well as photos of the destroyed tires on the towed vehicle. In february 2020, i had a local dealer install a blue ox accent with the patriot 3 braking system. We used it last year with no issues whatsoever. (approx 3,000 miles) we left our home february 10, 2021 to travel to florida keys and up the gulf coast. At that point, we covered over another 2,000 miles with no issues. When we crossed over in ga, there was quite a bit of construction. We were traveling 50 mph since it was a construction zone and there was one large bump, which apparently caused the breakaway switch to engage and locked up the wheels on the tow vehicle. As soon as it occurred and i realized what happened, i pulled the power supply out of the dash sending unit, which released the tow vehicle brakes. However, i now have 4 ruined tires as they are flat spotted. Is this a normal occurrence ? We are traveling again to tomorrow and i am reluctant to connect the breakaway sensor again as it could create a serious accident. We are hundreds of miles from home and the dealer that installed the unit. What are your thoughts ? Is there any recommendations that you can make as i am certain that there will be other construction on i-95 as we travel north.*dt
