Tl*the contact owns a 2002 hyundai xgv50l. The contact received a recall notification under the nhtsa campaign id number 09v124000 (suspension). The vehicle was taken to the authorized dealer. The technician stated there was a massive waiting list with approximately three to four months before the service remedy repair. The contact was placed on the waiting list. The vehicle is not being driven due to the safety hazard. There were concerns of the safety risk involved and the uncertainty of transportation. The failure and current mileages were 46,000. While backing out of a parking space vehicle suddenly accelerated uncontrollably. Consumer was not able to maintain control of the vehicle. Placed foot on the brake pedal but vehicle continued to accelerate into a pole. Then the consumer put the shifter into drive to move forward when the vehicle accelerated forward into a wall. Upon impact, both air bags did not deploy. No injuries reported. Vehicle was towed to the dealer.*ak the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The mechanice indicated that while talking with other hyundai mechanics they stated that the electronic drive wire or electronic sensor could be the cause of the problem. *nm
